Deadlines
On-campus interview deadline is December 15
Off-campus interview request deadline: December 1
Application completion deadline is January 15
Decisions mailed by February 1
Enrollment deposit deadline is March 15

We will get our decisions in plenty of time to make a decision on deposits and ASW.

That's a more concrete deadline. Regular decision doesn't have such a hard date, and depends more on people withdrawing to commit to other schools.JayJones78 wrote:AJDs applicants as well? for those of you who did on campus iviews, did your status checker remain incomplete until u had your interview and then switch over immediately afterwards to complete / under review?

I'm another AJD waiting. I looked at last years thread and some AJD decisions didnt come out till Feb 7th. Not sure if they were told they'd get a decision by February 1st last year though.JayJones78 wrote: From the AJD web site:

Lets hope not! What I'm wondering if the ~22% drop in applicants will cary over to the AJD? Last year they had 100 and they accepted 38. I assume that if they'll accept the same amount of people but if there are around >80 applicants it'll be almost 1 out of 2 admits.StylinNProfilin wrote:I'm another AJD waiting. Yeah its hard to tell what the number of applicants was this year but it most likely had to drop atleast a little bit. I agree with you on them accpeting around the same amount, they only had 28 enroll and I dont imagine they would want it much smaller then that.JayJones78 wrote:Lets hope not! Yes... I sure am hoping. It's definitely my number one choice and if I get accepted its most likely game over. It's hard to understand what's the median for the AJD with LSAT and GPA

It's okay. It's REALLY cold in Chicago. They should probably stay indoors, anyway.

Nahhh, you get used to it. I live and work about 1 mile away from the NU Law campus and if you bundle up properly, it's fine. Just gotta get a down winter coat, and plenty of hats, scarves and mittens!shntn wrote:-17 tomorrow. If I do wind up at NU, there's a good chance I'll just keel over.HawkeyeGirl wrote:Furreal. -17 wind chill? God, my windows have been closed all morning, and with good reason evidently.
For what it's worth though, if you're from the Northeast, the cold here isn't substantially different. There are maybe 10-12 days that are truly frigid like today and tomorrow, but otherwise it's your standard cold, snowy (usually) winter.
Having a beach right downtown is a pretty nice perk in the summer though!

Been here since August 1 and I have not yet set foot on sand. It's too fucking hot and humid to go outdoors...and then it's cold and dry. I missed the 15 minutes in between.

Really? I'm surprised. I thought this fall was fantastic weather--60s and dry most days, all the way into early December.

To be fair, the beach is kind of grimy... I've only been to the beach super late at night because it's too crowded during the summer and I'm not a beach person to begin with.nba101790 wrote:Really? Fall was gorgeous. I was in transports of delight. The problem was that it started in, like, November.nba101790 wrote:Really? I'm surprised. I thought this fall was fantastic weather--60s and dry most days, all the way into early December.
And it was 71F on December 3. That's just unreasonable.

Exactly. I remember because that was the day I sat out on the beach trying to nap off two nights worth of post-LSAT drinking...rinkrat19 wrote:Fall was gorgeous. I was in transports of delight. And I was disappointed in how few thunderstorms we got. If it's going to be 85 degrees and rainy for days at a time, I want some pyrotechnics.
