Long-time lurker here. I was waitlisted earlier in the year and I'm hoping to see some UCLA movement within the next few weeks. To those who received an interview, Congrats! From last year's waitlist thread, it seems that people who receive an interview are accepted a few hours later.

Is this true? I received an email telling me they wanted to schedule an email less than five minutes after I sent in the WL response form. My numbers can't be higher than low-middle of the road, so I'm interested in the validity of this.

Has anyone gotten in off the waitlist without an interview? I'm assuming my chances are fairly slim at this point if I've not heard anything about an interview.

Applied early November and still haven't heard if I'm accepted, waitlisted, or denied. Am I the only one?

They said everyone would hear back by the end of April, so you should prob call and make sure they have your correct email, and that your file didn't fall behind a cabinet somewhere.

Thanks. Emailed the dean and he emailed back the same day. He apologized for the delay and said he hoped they will know something soon and to feel free to contact him again if I still don't have a decision in another week.

Finally heard back!!! Waitlisted! Mixed emotions right now. So happy that I just finally heard back after having applied in early Nov. and also, considering my numbers, that I wasn't outright denied. But it's gonna be hard to wait this out. Was hoping to just be done with it already and have a definite answer. I'll gladly wait it out tho.

That's what I'm talking about. Congrats! For what it's worth to everyone else, I interviewed earlier in the week and have not yet heard back. The interview went great, and after I was thinking there was no way I would be out. If you don't hear back right away, keep that hope alive. After all, UCLA has always been known to be slow and very odd with their decisions.

So even if I get in off of the WL, is there any chance for $ off the WL? USC offered me 60k and I was in after being WL at first. I think I'd prefer UCLA all else being equal but only if it made financial sense.

Oh I didn't realize I had removed my LSN link from my profile. I'm a 167/3.3, so nothing that commands incredible attention but just in there.

Sorry to Andres and LuxuryLawyer for not responding sooner; I applied in early January and was waitlisted about a week before I was admitted, my financial aid package was loans, but UCLA made a very generous scholarship offer to match another school I had been accepted to. I withdrew this evening; it had nothing to do with the school itself (anyone who has visited knows its amazing), in the end it just wasn't the best financial decision.

Again, best of luck to anyone who is still waiting to hear from the waitlist, hopefully this means one of you will be getting the call in the next few days!
