If Im not not mistaken, some or even most of those that were already admitted went straight from "under review" to "decision letter sent" right?

Why is it that certain applicants are having their files updated with a 2nd under review date? Does that mean a likely acceptance, wait list, or rejection? Any insight into this would be appreciated.
Nothing can be read into it at this point.

Anyone know if NYU offers full-tuition scholarships based on merit alone (like the Hamilton and not academia/PI/background-related)?

I was wondering this too. If you find out, can you please post the answer in the thread?

I'm almost positive the answer is no. The annbryce finalist I know who didn't get it got about half tuition.

That's what I figured you were responding to. Thanks! And yeah I remember seeing that cycle on LSN.

Here's the bit from http://www.law.nyu.edu/admissions/jdadm ... /index.htm:
Applicants who wish to be considered for the following Scholarship Programs must complete their applications by January 1 and must have a complete law school report ready to be requested by the Office of Admissions no later than January 1: AnBryce Scholarship Program, Bickel & Brewer Latino Institute for Human Rights Scholarship, Furman Academic Scholars Program, International Institute for Law and Justice Scholarship Program, Mitchell Jacobson Leadership Program in Law & Business, and the Root-Tilden-Kern Public Interest Scholarship Program.
I assume that 'applications' include the scholarship essay / letter of rec. I might be wrong though.
Saw this and i assumed it meant that the essay had get to them by January 1st, regardless of when you applied to the law school (assuming you applied before Jan 1st). I'm going to send them an email and/or call them tomorrow to confirm. I live in NYC so i'll personally hand it in if i have to (or if they'll accept it that way).

FYI I sent them an email and received an out of office auto response; they're closed until Wednesday, Jan. 2nd. I'm still sending my essay via an email attachment today. Hopefully they'll consider it received by Jan. 1st.

Hey y'all, just curious, are there any NYU ED applicants still waiting on a decision?

I am ED at Columbia, and there seem to be plenty of people still waiting (even though in the past they've never failed to finish by the end of December AFAIK).

NYU has a hard deadline for Dec 31. CLS has a soft deadline.

Hard deadline: "You will have an answer by the end of December."
Soft deadline: "Applicants will generally receive an answer by the end of December"

They give themselves extra leeway by being vague
