Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
I sent a transcript update to LSAC today. It's for my first semester of grad school and I got a 4.0 so I suppose it can't hurt. Should I notify them that I submitted an update to LSAC? I hope they will give my file another read if they haven't...

I sent my Transcript to LSAC today too and when I emailed Harvard letting them know, my response was:
Dear XXX,
Thank you for your email. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept letters of recommendation, updates or additions to your application via email or fax. Please mail your materials to us via the postal service and be sure to include your name and LSAC number. If you would like to receive confirmation that we have received the information, please include a self-addressed, stamped postcard that we can return to you when your items arrive.
All transcript updates must be submitted via LSAC.
Our mailing address is below.
Harvard Law School J.D. Admissions
Austin Hall 203
1515 Massachusetts Avenue
Cambridge, MA 02138
Thank you for your interest in Harvard Law School.
So basically I don't think the email got past the person who opened it, but if it makes you feel more comfortable then I don't think it hurts to send an email just in case someone reads it who places the email in your file or something.

Thanks for that info!
I just want to make sure that the new transcript gets added to my file since ASR don't get updated for grad school transcript they would have to replace the current transcript (only listing classes registered) with the new one to make any difference.

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
It seems that HLS only accepts grades via LSAC, but it really doesn't make sense for me to send it through LSAC since my grades are incomplete. I really wish they would accept a copy of my transcript as it is right now directly from my UG....SemperLegal wrote:Confused7 wrote:But I can't even send an updated transcript yet because I wrote my senior thesis last semester and that grade takes the longest of all to come out. Should I send LSAC an updated transcript anyway without that grade? I feel like it's crucial since my advisor wrote me a LOR. But if I wait until the end of January (when it's scheduled to come out), I'm afraid it'll be too late. :/
Does anyone have experience with this?
Not applying to Harvard, but I am in the same spot w/lower T14 so I sent them an email summarizing my grades and asked them to stand by for proof. They seemed receptive

I just withdrew my app for Harvard. I'll be attending Hamline instead. Anyone else?

So when can we expect to hear about holds/waitlists? And is it through email/snail mail? I'm trying to gauge how much time I can spare before sending in my fall grades for them to actually make a difference...

Last year I believe they started sending out holds through email the week of January 7, so my guess would be either at the end of this week or early next week. I sent in my transcript to LSAC yesterday, so I doubt it will really make a difference, but am still holding out hope for the small chance that it might

Re: Harvard 2011 Applicants
Oh wow, so our fates are pretty much sealed from now. Or at least we'll know our fates soon. I'm holding off until Friday to see if my final grade comes in. If it doesn't, I'll just send the transcripts then but I don't think it's going to make a difference either. Good luck to all of us!eaa1537 wrote:Confused7 wrote:So when can we expect to hear about holds/waitlists? And is it through email/snail mail? Sorry about that. Weird that you're the only one saying anything on here though. I'm definitely auto-ding material, so I wonder what the delay is. You have SUPER AMAZING options though.daisyduke wrote:Rejected via email... as expected.
