Maybe this has been posted here before, but I saw on Pitt's website that they have Group Information Sessions and the next and last one listed is on April 11th.

Alright fellow TSLers,
I'll be in the 'Burgh tonight and tomorrow at ASD. I'm feeling the need for a happy hour, so the more the merrier!
I'll check TLS when I arrive... probably around 6 or so. Anyone have any suggestions?
The Denver ASD bar night was a blast, just sayin'.
Also, anyone else staying at the Holiday Inn University Center?

I like Hemingway's it's right across from the law school. If you're feeling like a creeper, the bar review for current students will be at Carson City Saloon in the south side tonight.Adrian Yale wrote:Alright fellow TSLers,

Idk if bar review would be fun if you dont know anyone. If you wanna stay close to the law school I suggest Hemingway's, Peter's Pub or Garage Door.

Re: Pittsburgh 2011
Well, it turns out Pitt picked an interesting day for Admitted Students Day. An SUV crashed into the law school last night around 10:30. We still have class and the open house is still happening. You guys are here on an exciting day! I kind of feel bad, the new lounge just opened and now they have to deal with this mess. Here's a picture of the wreck: --LinkRemoved--

Re: Pittsburgh 2011
starting my apartment search: Right now, looking at the apartment listings on the pitt website. Any renters/ companies that i should stay away from, or should target? Im thinking of a 1 bdrm apt in shadyside or squirrel hill. Any big difference between those two areas?

Stay away from Lobos Management, for the love of god. Both areas are nice, sometimes pricey, but they are quiet neighborhoods compared to Oakland and SS. Check Regent Square if you're familiar with the area.

Absolutely no to Lobos Management, Mozart Management has a weird cleanliness policy where they randomly walk in to your place to check if you're being clean. If that weirds you out dont rent from them. Forbes management and Walnut Property are both amazing.northwood wrote:thanks! Im not familiar with the area- so I am starting from scratch. TITCR. If you can find an independent owner, from my experience, they are the best to rent from.BarbellDreams wrote:Absolutely no to Lobos Management, Mozart Management has a weird cleanliness policy where they randomly walk in to your place to check if you're being clean. Agreed. I've been living in Regent Square for 3 years and I love it. It's quiet but not TOO quiet (you can pub crawl up S. Braddock if you like), it's got a cool main drag, the park is right there, parking is no problem and it's affordable.drs36 wrote: Check Regent Square if you're familiar with the area.
