I believe r6_philly said what he said because dbrddr was accepted to Yale yesterday and most would probably accept Yale over NYU even if they received substantial $$$$ from NYU.

There's a SO involved--fiancée's applying to PhD programs at schools/in cities where I've been accepted or am likely to get in. She might be willing to put her plans on hold and find a job for a few years in the event that she doesn't get into Yale/a school in Boston, but I'd feel terribly guilty about that. If anyone's likely to be swayed by a full ride elsewhere, it's probably me (under the right circumstances). What I'm trying to say is that my cycle's far from over, though it probably would be if I had only myself to consider.

I understand that. I am in a similar situation so I don't know what I would choose. However, I would still be out partying instead of checking status checkers because you won't have to make any choices until 5 months from now. get your priority straight!

Congrats on the wonderful choices though. It's a good dilemma to have.

I'm a 12/6er, but I live it Brooklyn, and though I'm at work, my girlfriend works from home, so she's been instructed to call me as soon as the mail arrives. Given that 12/3ers didn't get an envelope yesterday, I'm guessing I won't get one today, but if I do, I'll be sure to post it here right away. I expect the mail to arrive any minute now.
