Received my ding from Michigan in the mail (boo) but got waitlisted/put on the Reserve list at Columbia (yay?). I don't know if the Reserve list is something to be excited about, but I kind of am! It's not a rejection, at least! I wonder if I've got a shot at getting off the Reserve list?

All submitted on 1/20/10
Status: (date on status tracker)
Chicago - Application Received (1/20/10)
Penn - Application Complete (2/25/10)
Duke - File Ready for Review (1/21/10)
Cornell - Applied (1/22/10)

Question: Should I contact these schools? These are pretty much the only ones I am waiting to hear from. Thanks!
I'm App Rec'd 1/23 at Chicago. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and they said they were currently working on 1/8-1/11 apps. The admissions officer who emailed me seemed friendly and replied within two minutes of my email. If you decide to email them would you let us (or at least me) know what you find out.
I went Complete at Chicago with the date of 3/14/10.
me too!

When did you go complete? I'm still at Complete 2/16; I kind of expected to be in the next UR batch.

2/15. i'm sure you're coming up soon. i'd really like to hear a decision this week. it appears that they have a pretty quick turnaround once you go UR.

do you know if BU calls internationally or if international applicants just get something in the mail? BU is one of the last schools I have left to hear from and I just want an answer even though I'm 99% sure I will be withdrawing no matter what they say.

A hold guarantees that they'll at least look at your application again. A waitlist doesn't and Columbia has waitlisted a bunch of people already, so ... there's hope yet.

P.S. How did you find out? And when did you apply?
Thanks for the optimism. Got it in the mail yesterday. Applied January 4th ish. Been eagerly awaiting but almost went teary eyed when I saw the cream colored #10 in the mail.

A hold is different from the reserve list, right? Reserve is waitlisted, and that means they may not look at your application again, and hold means they will? I'm a bit confused on the lingo, lol.

Honestly Fordham is a beautiful campus and location and seems to be a school worth going to, but I don't know if I would pick it over Georgetown (probably not).

They emailed me letting me know I was accepted ; a packet with scholarship info etc followed via snailmail about two weeks later.

Thanks! Hoping for a little bit of money, but even without a scholarship CU will be a top choice.

I think I remember you talking about it! Seriously, that's awesome. CU seems like an amazing school (I'm hoping I squeak in as well :) )

Waitlisted at UVA. Late application hurt me, I think.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
