No idea, I don't know if anyone had hear about aid yet from Wake.Pretzel_Logic wrote:So if my FAFSA is in and accepted, any ideas about when I'll hear about aid from Wake? I am leaving hard in one direction but some help from Wake could make my decision a little more difficult...

I have not heard anything yet but when I talked to a lady in the financial aid department she said they were reviewing FAFSA stuffs starting mid-late March.missvik218 wrote:No idea, I don't know if anyone had hear about aid yet from Wake.Pretzel_Logic wrote:So if my FAFSA is in and accepted, any ideas about when I'll hear about aid from Wake? I think the most I could hope for is a couple thousand in subsidized loans.

BTW, congrats to all new admits!!!

Anyone know how long after you are accepted you typically receive scholarship notification? Anyone know the status of how much money is even left at WF? I'm looking at LSN and there are a number of applicants with numbers very similar to mine, even some slightly worse, than received $54k, $75k, etc. An offer like this from WF would probably put them at the top of my list right now!

Re: Wake Forest 2010
they are saying that, as of now, all scholarships have been given out but they will revisit the applicant pool after April 1 when scholarship recipients have to notify them about whether they will accept the scholarship or not.traehekat wrote:Anyone know how long after you are accepted you typically receive scholarship notification? That is what's kind of cool about Wake. Because of the separate deposit deadline, people like you (and me) will hopefully get offers and even have a week to think about it before the deposit is even due.lml09 wrote:they are saying that, as of now, all scholarships have been given out but they will revisit the applicant pool after April 1 when scholarship recipients have to notify them about whether they will accept the scholarship or not.traehekat wrote:Anyone know how long after you are accepted you typically receive scholarship notification? Of course, it also seems grossly unfair to those who have already received scholarships.

Re: Wake Forest 2010
Is anyone here deciding between Wake and W&L? Job placement stats seem somewhat similar, as does level of prestige from what i've been researching.
I'm sending my Wake deposit in next week but I'm still finding it hard to overlook a 30k a year scholly that W&L gave me. I did visit Wake as undergrad a few years back and liked the area, didn't think Winston-Salem was as bad as some people say it is. Also definite +1 to Wake admissions office, best I have dealt with during my cycle...

What made you choose Wake? Right now I have the same decision b/c UNC won't get around to accepting me. I was leaning towards W&L because it seemed to be a little more prestigous, but I definitely could be waay off here.Gunners87 wrote:Is anyone here deciding between Wake and W&L? Where is everyone looking at living? I heard a lot of law students live here...
--LinkRemoved--
These places seem great, especially for a 1 bedroom starting at $735 and a 2 bedroom starting at $860. Luxury swimming pool, gate entry, clubhouse, exercise room, personal garages, fireplace, designer coordinated interiors, and private balconies/patios?

Re: Wake Forest 2010
$735 for a 1 bedroom, unless it is in New York, seems pretty high to me. I would think that you could find something in the $500-$600 range that would be just as good. Besides, do you really need designer coordinated interiors and a fireplace? I think a lot of law students live there (from what I've heard and seen) simply for the accessibility factor. It's very close to the law school. However, the price is pretty outrageous compared to the other places you can find just by looking on Craigslist.traehekat wrote:Where is everyone looking at living? this game is intense! Notice: I am taking into account how my perspective schools do in the tourney when it comes to matriculating.
