The reception was very helpful. The past alumni and current student/staff were very helpful in answering all my questions. Decision time is coming soon and I'm still torn.Padimud wrote:The W & M reception in Utah last night was well attended and quite informative. Only pushing me closer to making it official.

How did William and Mary notify those of you who have already been accepted?

My status changed to say decision made, congratulations or something like that, and then in the mailings it said admit packet mailed. It only took two days to receive once it was mailed.lawlife2010 wrote:How did William and Mary notify those of you who have already been accepted?

I have a decision pending as well. 162, 3.65, expecting WL or ding.
Everyone who goes to W&M speaks so highly of the school, it seems like it would be an amazing school to attend.
Can't wait to hear....Hope its good news!

Don't grind teeth! I was just fitted for a night-guard and had my chipped teeth capped and it was a real hit to my wallet. My dental hygienist compared my current xray to one from just a year ago and was astonished by how much damage I had done - she asked me if I have been particularly stressed. I laughed and said I was going to name each chip - one was W&M, the second was UNC.ryguy wrote:DP since 1/7. The very, very silent waitlist. 169/3.4xGrinding teeth!

HaHa, also, BC, BU, and Emory. I'll soon have tiny nubs for teeth.

Is anyone still not complete? I applied right at the deadline and still incomplete. I am pretty much complete at everywhere else.

Thanks! Around how long did it take you go complete and to DP? My report was a little late.MDPSteve wrote:I applied at 4:57 EST on 3/1 and am currently DP.r6_philly wrote:Is anyone still not complete? I applied right at the deadline and still incomplete. I know you weren't asking me, but I applied 2/28 and had "application ready for review" on 3/8, then DP on 3/9. WM is pretty out of my reach though, and I'm sure it didn't take them long to put me in the "aww, nice try!" pile!r6_philly wrote:

Thanks! Aww you should have a lil more confidence, you are in the middle 50% and split the median, you should have a decent shot.southerngrace wrote:I know you weren't asking me, but I applied 2/28 and had "application ready for review" on 3/8, then DP on 3/9. What is it about W&M that is edging out W&L for you?wired wrote:-1. I am actually going this week so I can make it during the W&L ASW. (W&M has a heavy edge against them right now.)2010law wrote:Who's going to ASW?

There's quite a few factors. The most pertinent are costs and academic options.clwilson6 wrote:What is it about W&M that is edging out W&L for you?wired wrote:-1. Other factors play in as well. My wife has a job interview in the area and if she got that job, it would completely seal the deal. Also, weather in Williamsburg is ever so slightly nicer. We are closer to Virginia Beach which would be a dream during the breaks between school and internships. Not to mention Busch Gardens and King's Dominion are right up the road.
Also, I am a Supreme Court history nerd so going to school the same place as John Marshall gives it a +.000001.

Yeah, I think as far as WM is concerned, the saying "no news is good news" does not apply.MDPSteve wrote:+1 with my complete and DP date... and I'm sure the "aww, nice try!" pile also.southerngrace wrote:I know you weren't asking me, but I applied 2/28 and had "application ready for review" on 3/8, then DP on 3/9. I was going to post something about being annoyed with DP status for several weeks. I think you win the brownie though. 10/8? Wow.narkizopoint wrote:Current Status: Application Ready for Review

Damn I thought mine was bad (11/4/2009) but 10/8...that's really bad. Maybe by June they will have a decision.egb23 wrote:I was going to post something about being annoyed with DP status for several weeks. I think you win the brownie though. 10/8? Re: William & Mary
Worst thing is that WM was number 1 on my list so I rushed out the app to try to get in early in the cycle. Stupid rolling admissions, subsequent apps to other schools were definitely more polished (got a great LOR late in the game and re did my PS a couple of times).

Re: William & Mary
Hopefully things will go out soon.
If nobody received rejections yet, then the DP is ubiquitous for admits, WLs, and rejections.
The numbers are varied for those of us stuck on DP.
It looks like they let their top choices in with money and everyone else will hear when letters go out in mass.
Is this a fair assumption?
