I've seen this tossed around- where did they say that we'd hear by now? Also wondering if I technically count, seeing as I submitted 11/30 and went complete 12/13 after my interview.Chipotle85 wrote:Today is 10 weeks from December 1st for those of us who submitted before then and haven't heard anything...

Re: Northwestern c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
If you go on the DLS checker on their site, at the bottom it says something along the lines of "please allow 8-10 weeks for a decision once your application has gone complete" and says if you went complete before December 1st the 8-10 weeks starts from Dec 1st. So from that I think you would still have 2 weeks until 10 weeks since you went complete 12/13sorence wrote:I've seen this tossed around- where did they say that we'd hear by now? I assume the date you've gone complete counts as the one that shows up on DLS? "complete as of XX/XX"?Chipotle85 wrote:If you go on the DLS checker on their site, at the bottom it says something along the lines of "please allow 8-10 weeks for a decision once your application has gone complete" and says if you went complete before December 1st the 8-10 weeks starts from Dec 1st. I got my box today (I was in the first round of ED students accepted in January). So, some other peeps should expect their soon. For reference, I live 30 minutes from the law school, so you might need to wait longer if you live farther away!

In via status checker.
Didn't see the tuition deposit at first and did some panicked scrolling.
Confirmed via DLS.
Thank you based Johann.

You actually have to write two essays explaining financial need for aid, your case for merit aid, and how NU specifically can help you achieve your goals. It's not a super pleasant experience lol. We will find out by end of March at the earliest I believe. Also, it's due on March 1.Thelaw23 wrote:I can't breath.

CONGRATS! For merit scholarships you'll need to do two additional essays that are part of a survey thing that is available on the Admitted Students page as long as provide some basic bio info. Financial aid as a whole (presuming you are applying for need- and merit- aid), involves submitting FAFSA, CSS, and that survey. I don't think financial aid decisions (which include merit scholarships) are released until the end of March based on the past couple of years.Thelaw23 wrote:I can't breath.
