UR1.5 3/15
nice to know I'm not the only one!
FWIW, there were open slots up through the end of next week (at least, maybe more) when I signed up for my interview during the March 3 wave.patrick1234 wrote:I think the next (and last) wave of interview requests is coming soon. Admissions tweeted on March 3 saying they sent out interview requests, but have been quiet since. Seems like that wave of interviews is ending and the next one is approaching.

The interviewer is an AA female and looks extremely uninterested. Asked me if she could take down notes at first, and then read from (seems to be) a list of questions without actually engaging in what I'm talking about, keep scribbling something on the paper without looking up.
Is it a bad sign or has anyone had similar experience?
This.landshoes wrote:Hey y'all, just want to remind you when you're talking about interviewers and interviews to be mindful of the fact that these forums are public. I don't know that admissions staff actually reads these forums or anything, so I'm not trying to make you paranoid. But if you mention a lot of details about your interview, it makes it extremely easy for someone from the admissions staff to figure out who you are in real life. If you're saying anything here that would embarrass you if the admissions staff read it, make sure you're vague enough that they can't say "oh yeah, that's the guy we interviewed yesterday."
It means you progressed to the next stage in the review process. I think Chicago has four stages.frozencavemanlawyer8 wrote:Apologies in advance for the remedial question. What is the significance of application review date changes? Initially went under review 1/22. Review date changed 3/15. Any info would be appreciated.

right there with you. reach for me to even get interviewed, I know the WL is coming, but its hard not to be blindly optimistic.genericwit wrote:My interview went fairly well, I thought. All the questions were ones I found in here, except for the ones specific to my resume. But who knows? No idea how I even got the interview. My scores are not really up to par, and I'm not URM. But now that I interviewed well, I'll be totally heartbroken to get the rejection/waitlist that I know is inevitable.
I guess I'll find out in 2-3 weeks, judging by notification trends.
Edit: Also, I went UR2 immediately after my interview.

I'm almost sure that all admitted students are interviewed prior.rachellewrx wrote:Has anyone been admitted without an interview? I'm in Aisa so my daytime is Chicago's nighttime. Wondering how that could play out...

A simple thank you email is fine (though not necessary), but beyond that you should just sit back, relax and wait! They generally seem to have a quick turnaround after interviews. Good luck!!Rajcharon wrote:Hey friends, I just had my interview with UChicago. Wanted to know if there's anything I could/should do at this point. Should I reach out to the admissions committee? Do I just wait and see at this point?
Thank you!! I think I will send a thank-you email. Do you know who I should send the email to? Should I just respond to the Interview Confirmation email that was sent out? Is there a way I can directly email the person who interviewed me?lemondrop wrote:A simple thank you email is fine (though not necessary), but beyond that you should just sit back, relax and wait!
