I was thinking about this this morning. Is it really different than WL?Gray wrote:IDK it's different than WL and a lot of schools do it. IIRC several schools ask you to fill out a form saying that you want to remain in consideration when they WL you (sound familiar?).
WL means that you'll probably get a decision after deposit deadlines (NW Hold re-evaluates in April)
Do other schools ask waitlisted applicants to submit additional essays?
In my mind NW hold is definitely a waitlist.

I too was ignored. Applied early November, interview in December and date change in February. Northwestern and Michigan both hate meVeronica2015 wrote:Anyone else was ignored in this brutal wave? Applied mid November. One date change in early January. Radio silence ever since.

Similar dates here. I don't think we were ignored though, because we didn't technically go complete until after the interview in December. So our 10 weeks isn't up yet.Shelbinole wrote:I too was ignored. Applied early November, interview in December and date change in February. I applied in September, interviewed in early October and am still at "Application Complete" as of 10/17/14. I think I'm lost in the piles and am expecting to join the yellow dots soon!

November, interview and complete early December. AJD, though, so maybe yesterday wasn't my day to ding.

My guess is tomorrow -- they were pretty much done sending out decisions this time yesterday.

Waitlisted. Got the email yesterday.
From previous years, what are the chances of getting off the waitlist?

I've just had my second complete date. The first was 12/3/14 and now it's at 2/11/2015.

Any idea when most of the AJD decisions have come through? I still havent heard anything back. My app has been under review since 1/21.

A lot went out on Monday. I don't recall seeing anyone post one since. I'm still waiting, early December complete/UR.karimbad87 wrote:Any idea when most of the AJD decisions have come through? I still havent heard anything back. My app has been under review since 1/21.

They start reviewing AJD at the beginning of February. So you may be at the back of the line.karimbad87 wrote:Any idea when most of the AJD decisions have come through? I still havent heard anything back. My app has been under review since 1/21.

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
There were at least two distinct waves of AJD admits last year - early Feb and mid Feb - with sporadic admits into March (though the application deadline was 1/15 in 2014 - not 1/31 as in 2015). AJD admitted students weekend is in early March this year, so most affirmative decisions will have to come soon (i.e. this week/next).karimbad87 wrote:Any idea when most of the AJD decisions have come through?
