Related question: What are ppl who hvnt gotten their scholarship info yet doing for ASW? Are you booking flights now? Wait until you get a scholarship offer first, possibly mid-March? What happens if I get a low offer that eliminates the possibilty of attending wustl?

I think it's been covered before itt, but I think it bears repeating. Don't freak out if you get lowballed initially. I think they do that to weed out people who are trying to use Wash U for leverage. The offers are very negotiable. If you look back at last year's thread, I think about this same time, maybe a couple days earlier, people were getting lowballed like crazy and everyone was freaking out. Some got insulted or whatever and withdrew. Some bided their time, played the game, and ended up with a substantial offer.LawsRUs wrote:Related question: What are ppl who hvnt gotten their scholarship info yet doing for ASW? If you are seriously interested in Wash U, you can always come visit after you get your offer. It doesn't have to be ASW. We have visitors every day. My main point is; don't freak out and write off Wash U if you get a low offer initially or if you go awhile without getting an offer at all. Hang in there, and if your numbers are there, it will work out.

Not nearly enough. I got one night's hotel stay covered. It's going to suck paying $250 out of pocket for the following two nights' stay (+ my $300 plane ticket).Hikkomorist wrote:Maybe this isn't the place to ask, but what are people being offered in terms of travel stipends for ASW?

Checking in!
Applied on 13th, Interview Request 20th
Interviewed on 28th.
Interview was casual and relaxed. Only for 10 minutes I was asked and I had chance to ask questions for the next 10 minutes.(I did spend whole 10 minutes to ask questions) Hope this is a good sign!

Yay congrats everyone

I have a very important question,
Is Friday happy hour included as a part of ASW?
I'm not asking this for the free drinks
, but I wld like to talk to many different current students about their experiences.
(I can't seem to find the schedule for ASW, if there is one circulating..)

HH is from 3-5, so idk what they would schedule otherwise. I'm sure you can do HH.

Related question...what do people do at the ASW? I am currently living in st. louis (wash u employee), and visited the law school for interview. I guess my question is, is there anything particular that I should not miss for the asw? I think I might skip it if it is more like a extended tour for the city.

It's not a tour of the city at all. Lots of just like events at the school with other admitted students. Also, go to bar review on Thursday and then go out on Friday with people you meet. That's what made me decide to come here, and some of the friends I met at ASW are my best friends here.

You think? Our class is so big as it is. You think it's a $$ thing?qlinault wrote:*ASW makes you come here, but the questionable administration makes you flee. Be careful, kiddos.
eta I anticipate a massive transfer class to account for the equally massive current 1L exodus
