Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
So today I was able to provide credentials and get the message saying "your username and password were sent to your email" and yet I haven't received anything... anyone experience this before?

Has anyone got an acceptance before being able to log into ASW?

Can you fine folks clarify what login info you're using on the ASW?
The same login info as status checker? (Which is my same login info for almost every school's status checker after you re-set your password for each).
Thanks and congrats to the admits! I am a Hoya from undergrad and it's just an amazing university all around.

Ah okay, should have read through more carefully. Thanks!!Gray wrote:This is a common problem, if you read through the thread you'll see that it happens to almost everyone. But if you're able to request a username and password, you're in. The ASW will work for you eventually!

so the consensus is if we put in our last name and email address, and then we get the email with the crazy username and password for accepted students, we've been accepted? even though when you try them it says invalid? Am I summarizing this correctly?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Just had an alumni interview. It went great! It was very casual and wide-ranging. There was no set list of questions, but there was a general focus on 'why law', 'why GULC', my work history, etc. The basics. I think the main thing they are looking for is that you want to go to law school for specific reasons and not just because you're bad at math and have nothing else to do.
I think if this interview matters at all, it will only help, but I thought I had a good alum interview for Vanderbilt, too, and that ended in a waitlisting. So who knows.

Got in today after being "Held" (2/28 self-imposed deadline)...simple letter in a postcard size envelope. I was sure it was a rejection. I didn't do an interview or followup after being held. At 25th GPA and 75th LSAT.

Has anyone heard anything about scholarship offers yet?

A wave (the first one?) of scholarship emails was sent out last week. The people who got them and replied saying they wanted to be considered will hear back sometime before March 13th.gjohnson wrote:Has anyone heard anything about scholarship offers yet?

Anyone know anything more about the scholarship emails? I got one last week, sent my reply, and got a confirmation email...does receiving the email mean I'm going to get at least something? Georgetown is by far my first choice barring cost, but I know they are not especially generous with scholarships, which has me nervous...

Is the general consensus that you can expect a decision about a week after an alumni interview? Or is there a lot of variance?

Wondering this as well. I think someone mentioned previously in the thread they'd been waiting a couple weeks, but quite a few from last years thread heard within a week of the alum interview. Good luck!secadc11 wrote:Is the general consensus that you can expect a decision about a week after an alumni interview? Or is there a lot of variance?

I don't know about alumni interviews, but I did a group interview with Dean Cornblatt and he straight up told everyone are decisions are ready to be made, the interview was the last piece of the puzzle. He said we'd have our answer within 2 weeks. I was able to get my ASW username 8 days letter (still can't sign in). The situation may be different, but I feel like the timeframe/circumstance would be the same.commandercup wrote:I'm curious as well. Coming up on a week, this week! Thanks for this. It seems like people who have been requested for alum/group interviews are doing pretty well, has anyone been WL/dinged after doing the interview? I'm trying to temper my expectations a bit since even though my interview went well I have borderline/splitter numbers.arewevoting wrote:I don't know about alumni interviews, but I did a group interview with Dean Cornblatt and he straight up told everyone are decisions are ready to be made, the interview was the last piece of the puzzle. Priority waitlist. Anybody have a feel for the chances to get off this? After that disastrous interview, I'm not exactly high on Georgetown. It's not really fair to them, since I'm sure they don't know with each interviewer is saying. But, weighing a withdrawal.
