Join the club. I've been UR since 11/8. What the actual fuck, NYU? I'm well within your medians! My personal statement was slightly risky, but you still can't really turn down my numbers...

This is getting to be ridiculous.

What does "within medians" mean? Above both?

Hi All, I'm new to the NYU thread because I just submitted on 12/6 and went under review on 12/12. My status has been updated to DLS as of today 12/17. Is there a way to find out the decision or do I just have to wait for the letter? What is this ASW thing?

ASW is the admitted students website. From what I've heard, it should go live for new admits around 4 or 5 (but possibly later?). I've also heard that a phone comes within a few days. So you (/we, since I also got DLS today) should find out before a letter arrives

I just got a call from an Assistant Dean (I was too giddy to remember his name), and my status changed to DLS sometime within the last two hours. I imagine others are going to get the call today. I am toward the beginning of the alphabet, which might be meaningful/less

Congrats to the other admits and I hope to see you at ASW!

I just want a phone call so I can actually be happy and know it is for real.

Don't worry, same here—also UR since 10/10 and above both 75ths.

But I am K-JD and graduating in three years total... So I'm guessing they didn't want to make a decision until they see this semester's grades. Thank goodness I didn't slack off this semester!!

Yeah I have no clue. I'm on Duke's PT and I submitted it a day before this app... and I'm still waiting on them. This would be my first acceptance of the cycle.

I'm hoping the quick turnaround was not because my numbers fit in some "automatic wait-list/reject" category... and the Admitted Students log in is just some cruel joke.

Nope, wasn't a joke, IN at NYU School of Law. Just got a phone call. My last name is in the F-I range, so if that helps others who might be waiting on a call, it seems that they might be going alphabetically.
