I'm such a big fan of 'SC that i honestly want it to pass them. I WOULD LOVE IT.
Also re: scholly negotiation....we can negotiate with them from now until May 1 then? I am very grateful for my offer but to realistically attend I'll need a bit more. Even with some of the graphs floating around of their unemployment, I really think SC is turning around.

Which graphs are you referring to? Law school transparency data from last year? Or is it more recent stuff?twinkletoes16 wrote:goden wrote:UCLA in the FIGHT OF ITS LIFE to stay ahead of USC

What are people's thoughts on negotiating up the $120k? Do you think that's USC's absolute limit (except for the Rothman)? I love love love USC but another scholarship from the T14+lower cost of living elsewhere would make it idiotic for me to accept USC, even at the 120k.

I tried, but was unsuccessful. They did not mention anything about 120k being the limit though. You might as well try, worse they can say is no.pannekoeken wrote:What are people's thoughts on negotiating up the $120k? Do you think that's USC's absolute limit (except for the Rothman)? More recent stuff. Let me dig around and try to find it again.
ETA it was a TLS user-made graph comparing the unemployed/small firm jobs of t-20 schools.

Rayiner's "underemployment" chart.
This is for c/o 2011 though (data is almost a year old).

I do think that will be their limit and to be perfectly honest I think even if they let people negotiate up to a full ride the vast majority of those people will take a higher ranked school anyway at the end of the day.pannekoeken wrote:What are people's thoughts on negotiating up the $120k? But certainly worth a shot! Let us know how it goes.

I was pleasantly surprised to get $75k w/167 3.7, but is there a downside to trying to get a bit more? It's still an expensive school with that much coin. Problem is, peer schools have given me about the same. Do i have any leverage? Honestly USC is my top pick right now.

I don't see any downside in trying. They're not going to retract the offer.jimmy_dean wrote:I was pleasantly surprised to get $75k w/167 3.7, but is there a downside to trying to get a bit more? USC might pass UCLA eventually if UCLA insists on having huge classes like they do but it won't happen in the next 3-4 years because USC's own class is about 20-30(2012,2013 class) people higher than usual which will hurt employment stats.

You get a separate email with scholarship information. Mine came a few days after my acceptance.jackbauer10 wrote:IN! I'm sure it's been answered, but how are we notified of any scholarship money? Does it come via email? Good luck to everyone still waiting!!
