You didn't free up anything though, that's not money UCLA has

. It's paid by someone who will go at sticker.

The attachment to the email about the WL said that "most of our communication with wait listed applicants will follow the deadlines given to admitted students for submitting their commitment deposits". The May 1st deadline was Wednesday, so I think they will take a few business days to evaluate the class and then begin offering waitlist spots. It would not surprise me if we see movement well before the 2nd deposit deadline in June.

I'm below both mediums (non-URM) and got accepted last month. Unsurprisingly, I got no form of aid. I put down my seat deposit earlier this week, but does anyone know if its possible I could still get some money by writing to them? I know I'm lucky to be even accepted, but paying full tuition for 3 years makes me want to throw up.

UCLA's 25th percentile LSATS and a 3.65 GPA. Probably above average softs. Not non-trad.

Long-time lurker here. I was waitlisted earlier in the year and I'm hoping to see some UCLA movement within the next few weeks. To those who received an interview, Congrats! From last year's waitlist thread, it seems that people who receive an interview are accepted a few hours later.

It's incredibly unlikely, but it would not hurt to try! Good luck!

Is this true? I received an email telling me they wanted to schedule an email less than five minutes after I sent in the WL response form. My numbers can't be higher than low-middle of the road, so I'm interested in the validity of this.

I'm way below their 25th GPA and received significant aid. I wrote compelling why UCLA & programmatic contribution essays, but I did all my negotiating before putting down my seat deposit. It's worth a try. I definitely was not expecting any $$$ from them.

They said everyone would hear back by the end of April, so you should prob call and make sure they have your correct email, and that your file didn't fall behind a cabinet somewhere.

Would anyone care to PM me information about the skype interviews (questions, how to prepare, etc.)? This is my first one of these and I am completely in the dark. Thanks in advance!

I wrote a programmatic contribution essay as well. After I was accepted I petitioned for more aid via email and succeeded in significantly increasing my aid. Try it and see what happens.
