i think if you're 100% sure you would go if accepted, you should definitely write them and let them know.2015JD wrote:Complete since the very beginning of January (it's been like 13 weeks now). Are they waiting because they are trying to figure out whether to wait-list me or reject me based how many deposits they get? Scared to send a LOIC as the last school I did that to (before they made a decision) rejected me pretty much immediately after they would have got it (timeline wise). Would it be bad to send a LOCI saying I will 100% attend if accepted (I would)? Should I just sit it out and wait? Prob gonna be a rejection any way.

I was actually answering a question from the previous page..I received a waitlist letter on Saturday dated the 11th. Hey, at least it's not a rejection! Although it seems like their waitlist is a mile long...lawyerinwaiting wrote:+1 Except mine was the 12th and since we didnt get anything last week looks like its gonna be a waitlist or rejection? Does Vanderbilt's website have any information on it regarding the wait list and where to send LOCIs (email or snail mail) and whether or not they accept additional LORs?

True or False? "While some students might gain a slight advantage by applying before decisions start going out, Morton says, “[Any] potential advantage is offset by ‘staging’ decisions to avoid exhausting all offers of admission before we have reviewed all applications.” Therefore, submitting later in the cycle shouldn’t hurt an applicant’s chances too much."

When I talked to the a few of the folks in the admissions office during ASW I got the same impression that it worked that way.

Dinged today by mail. Decision mailed date is 4/20 on the tracker, but it didn't update to say that until today.

Damn, is median really 169? So with a 3.54 would one need a 170 to feel comfortable to get into Vandy? Thanks!

FWIW I received a fee waiver on March 14th and submitted my app that day. I got in with money.
