Anyone else in a similar boat with these schools?
All submitted on 1/20/10
Status: (date on status tracker)
Chicago - Application Received (1/20/10)
Penn - Application Complete (2/25/10)
Duke - File Ready for Review (1/21/10)
Cornell - Applied (1/22/10)
Question: Should I contact these schools? These are pretty much the only ones I am waiting to hear from. Thanks!

I applied to Chicago on 12/30 and went complete on 2/5 -- still waiting to go under review. Duke for me was priority track so totally different process. Can't help you on Penn or Cornell, though reading the boards it seems like Penn and Cornell take forever to go under review.CG614 wrote:Anyone else in a similar boat with these schools?

I contact Chicago to ask what the hold up was on making sure my file as complete and they basically told me they were seriously backlogged and the status checker would update when there was a change ... and not to bother them again.

That sounds about right.
I applied between 1/4 and 1/6
Penn - Complete 2/3 - Under Review 2/18
Duke - Ready for Review 1/7 - Under Review 3/1
Cornell - Applied 1/8 - Complete 3/8
So, if this timetable holds true for you, I predict:
Penn - Under Review on Monday
Duke - Under Review on Monday
Cornell - Complete the following Monday

Re: Who'd you hear from? - Post-December LSAT Applicants
I'm App Rec'd 1/23 at Chicago. I emailed them a couple weeks ago and they said they were currently working on 1/8-1/11 apps. The admissions officer who emailed me seemed friendly and replied within two minutes of my email. If you decide to email them would you let us (or at least me) know what you find out.CG614 wrote:Anyone else in a similar boat with these schools?

No, I've been accepted to 6 other schools so far, but interestingly enough that was the choice I was faced with for UG.traehekat wrote:So it's between UF and Penn State for you, huh?gatorlion wrote:In at UF via snail mail (DLIT 3/5 crew)

Re: Who'd you hear from? - Post-December LSAT Applicants
+1. I have same LSAT and similar GPA, applied early Jan. I feel like with our GPA's we could go so far, but I took the LSAT almost cold. I definitely feel that if you don't come out of this cycle with a school accepting you that you'd love to attend it would be worth it to wait a year. I'm sure you could improve on your score. Although the wait would suck, getting into great places with loads of $$$ next year would almost surely make up for it.jonnodotsg wrote:Another Monday, another week. I'm so close to just calling it quits on this cycle. I feel like I basically shot myself in the foot by only deciding to take the LSAT at the last second and getting a rather mediocre score as a result. To top it all off, I procrastinated and only got my applications out toward the end of January. FML.
Now if I could only take my own advice

I was accepted into Texas Tech less than 12 hours after submitting my application on the day of their deadline. I'm don't really want to go to Tech at all, but I am extremely impressed with their efficiency!

$10,000 a year from Fordham. My first T30 scholarship. Not quite enough to put it in front of Georgetown, but definitely enough to make me visit and see how much I like it.
