Never thought I'd have to say this to anyone, but congrats for going into review! If I remember correctly, you weren't an auto-deny nor an auto-admit, and I think the average time an applicant stays under review is about a month-month and half. I think some auto-admits were in review for like, a weekend...but in very rare cases.

Does anybody know when financial aid packages, specifically scholarship offers, will be sent out? Also, do they come first as emails or only as physical mailings? thanks for any info that you guys and gals can provide. I always appreciate the great help that I get on TLS.

Anyone IR 2/19? GPA at median, LSAT above 75%.

This guy. Mentioned it a little earlier (on this page). Same/similar situation. I am ever so slightly below their median GPA (3.5X).

Me three. Close to 75% LSAT, close to 75% GPA.

Does anybody know when financial aid packages, specifically scholarship offers, will be sent out? Also, do they come first as emails or only as physical mailings? thanks for any info that you guys and gals can provide. I always appreciate the great help that I get on TLS.

Right. I guess I should have asked if they send you an e-mail when you go in review.

nope no email when you go into review. you just check the status checker for updates.

my status checker changed from "in review" to "decision rendered on 2/16. yesterday (2/23) i received an email in the evening congratulating me again on my acceptance, even though I still haven't gotten the letter! I know I'm on the East Coast, but still! Anyone else have this happen to them?

haha yep happened to me in NYC when I got in, law schools don't understand technology v mail haha. Congrats

The awesome scholarship offers seem to go out quickly (Rothman, is it?), but I don't know if any more of those are forthcoming.

I had to fill out some additional paperwork for USC finaid, but the email said decisions would start going out late next month.

After these steps have been completed and our office has reviewed your file, you will receive an electronic notification of your full financial aid package, which will include USC Law scholarship, if any, as well as eligibility for student loans. In this electronic notification, you will be informed of the additional steps required to secure the student loans that you may wish to borrow. We expect that these electronic financial aid notifications will begin to be sent in late March, provided you have completed the steps outlined above.

I'm still waiting for finaid info as well. I emailed the office to make sure they got all the necessary info and to ask when I would hear back. They said that I should hear about any scholarships soon, and the full financial aid package (need based aid/loans) in late march. This email was in early/mid Feb, and I still haven't heard anything yet. Hopefully a big scholly is headed my way soon .

Also, to the above poster, the Rothman thing that many people got was just an invitation to apply. Only one student wins it every year (and it is indeed awesome). I got the invite, but didn't apply because my numbers just aren't high enough to win.

Interesting- so it sounds like merit-based aid will come soon, if there is any, with loan info to follow in March? Does anyone happen to know from last year?
