Shit.. just got the call from my wife, ED application held for further review as RD...

Blah.. at least I got good grades during my final semester (6 A's, 1 B, 21 credits) which should knock my LSAC gpa up to like a 3.45. Hopefully the GPA boost will get me in later...

Sorry to hear it, Drew. But you're right, an updated transcript with a higher GPA seems like it would make for a great LOCI.

Thanks, and ya I hope it is enough. I think this weekend I'm gonna have to bust out some good LOCI's for Cornell, Penn, and NYU, and then I'll finish them up and send them in once I know my exact updated lsac gpa.

Big purple envelope waiting for me when I got home last night

I appled RD 11/18, got an e-mail saying my application has been receieved on 11/25/09, and never went complete.

I don't remember when the letter was dated, but I live in Manhattan so probably fairly recently.

I am ED, complete 12/8. When I called, I was told I won't hear anything until after the holidays.

I went complete the same day. They never received my ED contract and I had to fax them a new one on 12/1. I guess I'll be waiting for a little while longer too.

Any idea on how application to one of the scholars or other programs will affect the review process time-wise? Are the decisions separate (ie would I be accepted into NYU soonish and then find out about the scholars program later, or all at once)?

I assume it'll take longer, but the admissions woman I spoke to wasn't terribly helpful.

is an addition letter needed for the Furman scholarship? the others ask for an additional letter on the app but not the furman.

looks like more or less just ED people. we are not faring too well. really sad to hear about your decision drew -- i was rooting for you too. maybe they're just going to admit all of the deferred EDers later on... to make the decision even more exciting. (and tell lieut kaffee that it was all a big joke and he's accepted with a full scholarship.)

Sorry, you're going to have to keep tweaking out.. I applied for RTK, but got my admissions decision just a month after applying.
