Non dual ~median is referring to some URMs with like 169, 3.8. They have a very good shot at getting in, but usually don't get JR2s so early in the cycle.

Congrats! This gives me a slimmer of hope, seeing that we are complete the same date and are both international. I wonder if this mean Josh has gotten to the foreigner pile... Still no JR1 though, sighpulpfree wrote:Just got my JR1 invite!!!! So excited!!! Interview on next Wednesday. A Harvard JD/MBA would be my ideal but I know I don't have the WE necessary for entry into HBS =/englawyer wrote:I have decided to apply to Harvard Law and a select other few schools, as I am interested in the JD/MBA. Any other JD/MBA seekers??

Your aspirations are admirable, my friend. I considered this idea but felt that I had a much better chance of admission applying to just the JD program.englawyer wrote:I have decided to apply to Harvard Law and a select other few schools, as I am interested in the JD/MBA. Any other JD/MBA seekers??

Are all internationals treated equally? I'm from Canada and was wondering if they had a quota or similar.soanxious wrote:musketeerlady wrote:Congrats! I don't know what you mean by "equally", but its likely that US applicants are easier to evaluate and hence some adcomms get to international applicants later.sayan wrote:Are all internationals treated equally? I for one don't have a US equivalent GPA (just a vague evaluation by JD-CAS), and havent received a JR1 invite as yet. I am hoping they're just taking their time to get to my application and that good news is around the corner! But then again, its been 2 months since I submitted!

Sure. LSAT>75%. I'm international and my UG has a different grading scale, so I don't think my GPA really counts. (I got a verbal rating "superior" by the JD CAS-evaluation thing)Hattori Hanzo wrote:Care to share the stats?pulpfree wrote:Just got my JR1 invite!!!! So excited!!! Interview on next Wednesday. Re: Harvard 2010!
Joining this thread... I just got the interview email!
Submitted: 11/10
Under Review: 11/12
Complete E-mail: 11-24
Interview E-mail: 11-25
JR1: 12-2 (Scheduled)
I did my Northwestern in-person interview this week, so I've got my "story" down... Right after I hang up with him I have to run into work--they don't even know I'm applying to law school. Stats in my profile...

PS Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Harvard 2010!
So has anyone who got the complete email on on 11/19 gotten a JR1 yet? It depresses me slightly that people who applied later than me are getting JR1s but not me. Not that I was expecting one, but I'm starting to lose hope...

Did you get the invite now or just see the email now? Seems strange that they would send out invites on Thanksgiving!natalie123 wrote:Joining this thread... I just got the interview email!

Yeah people who submitted almost a month after me getting JR1s kind of makes me move between losing hope and hating harvard for putting me through this.amidea wrote:So has anyone who got the complete email on on 11/19 gotten a JR1 yet? Re: Harvard 2010!
That sounds like a really quick turnaround from Submitted to Under Review. Anyone else go under review only 2 days after submitting? I guess all I can really draw from this thread is that there's no sense trying to estimate when I might start hoping to hear about a JR1. The timing seems to differ so much between applicants.natalie123 wrote:Joining this thread... I just got the interview email!

I thought about JD/MBA but then I realized I could just apply to MBA next year if I got into the JD program.managamy wrote:Your aspirations are admirable, my friend. Also, managamy, I did end up calling JR back and I did get great news (I'm into HLS, yay!!) so thanks for the great piece of advice!
