If I did not get a Charles Hughes invite with my admissions e-mail, does it mean I am not going to get one?

Any other "reserved" applicants out there who were asked to interview with Dean Ingram in Manhattan in early March? And if so, have you heard back with a confirmation of the date and time?

It should be on Cornell's website under financial aid! It's located at the bottom of the forms page under '2016-2017 Scholarship Application.'Bouvant wrote:Where do you get the merit form from?

Just got this letter. LSAT=75, GPA < 25. I'm really surprised that I didn't get anything. I know that may sound entitled, but does that make sense based on my numbers?"Congratulations on your admission to our law school. Based on our review of your financial aid application and other factors, we are pleased to inform you that you appear eligible for a $XXXXX Federal Direct Unsubsidized Loan, and approximately $XXXXX in Federal Direct Graduate PLUS Loan funds. Unfortunately, we are not able to include a law school scholarship."

If you are accepted do they only notify you through a phone call or also through email. Meaning if I see an email from Cornell without receiving a phone call first can I assume it's a ding/wait list?

Personally, I think it does. I would assume they award to people above both medians, or one at median and the other above.WhiteHouse wrote:Just got this letter. LSAT=75, GPA < 25. Ok I probably just don't have a good gauge on scholarship apportionment. I'm glad I'm not a fluke case thenhopefuljumbo23 wrote:Personally, I think it does. From what I've read ITT, this seems right. That's what I've assumed anyway. Can anyone confirm or deny (e.g. they've been dinged/put on reserve without a call and only received an email, or someone who has received an acceptance email without a call)?Nlawsing wrote:If you are accepted do they only notify you through a phone call or also through email. By no means am I an expert, so please take what I say with a grain of salt! Just my thoughts/guesses. Use MyLSN to get a feel for this. I don't know your exact numbers, but I plugged in a 168 LSAT and a 3.5 to 3.6 GPA range, and about half the admits received scholarships, but the average was only 40k total. With this year seemingly being a stronger year for applicants, no scholarship aid (unfortunately) for similar numbers does not seem egregious.WhiteHouse wrote:Ok I probably just don't have a good gauge on scholarship apportionment. Have you thought about writing them back and asking for a little bit of money? Maybe ask for $50k?WaitersIsland wrote:Use MyLSN to get a feel for this.
