I'm surprised that nobody has selected the option of riding the wait list until the bitter end.

Anyone else think theyre waiting until 4:59 PM Pacific time to send out a massive DLS wave so as to avoid 630736183 phone calls inquiring as to whether it's a WL or Ding?

It seems unfair to send decisions by mail this late in the game in the first place.lawsk3wl wrote:Anyone else think theyre waiting until 4:59 PM Pacific time to send out a massive DLS wave so as to avoid 630736183 phone calls inquiring as to whether it's a WL or Ding?

I don't really understand the point of mailing decisions in the first place. If they were emailed, applicants would get decisions sooner and SLS would save a few grand in postage. Seems like a win-win?mollywood wrote:It seems unfair to send decisions by mail this late in the game in the first place.lawsk3wl wrote:Anyone else think theyre waiting until 4:59 PM Pacific time to send out a massive DLS wave so as to avoid 630736183 phone calls inquiring as to whether it's a WL or Ding?

I feel like I'm being strung around by a girl who can't decide to end things with me, but knows that she would never want me. Meanwhile I would do anything to be with her.
Stanford, you're that girl that I will never have a chance with, but can't help but chase. Just give me a chance.

They must have come up with a decision already... No way they are deciding THIS late in the game. Just rip the bandaid off Stanford...

So there are 3 hours left. Are we really going to have to wait until Monday? Come on Stanford! We can handle it....

Edit: for the record, I think my 4:59PM theory is right

Re: Stanford C/O 2019 Applicants (2015-2016 cycle)
It's certainly possible they could wait until after 5pm tonight or until tomorrow to update our status checkers, that way they don't have to answer all the phone calls. Just because the admissions office is "closed" doesn't mean they can't stay late or press the update button on Saturday.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
