Just checked after about a week and still alive! The wait is killing me, and it's really screwing with my planning, but I get a little wave of hope every time I look and see #DLSnever.

So, judging by last year's thread, it seems like there are likely no straight acceptances left and that everyone still DLSnever is caught somewhere between waitlist and ding.

And acceptances. There are some acceptances still trickling out. Not out right, I feel, but some nevertheless.

Someone reported an acceptance on LSN yesterday. Might not be totally accurate, but I have hope they're not entirely done!Oskosh wrote:And acceptances. There are some acceptances still trickling out. Not out right, I feel, but some nevertheless.

Going off of last year, some of us will be waiting for another 3 weeks.

Re: Stanford Law School c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
Unless Stanford contacted a disproportionate amount of applicants that didn't upload data to common websites like TLS/LSN (which is possible, but not probable), I don't think they have made all offers yet. However, Stanford is (along with Yale) one of the biggest black boxes in law school admissions. Really. Out of the holy trinity, I feel that Harvard is more predictable (what with the huge number of offers they make), whereas Stanford and Yale really take time to select their class. That being said, I'm not a Stanford adcom, so there might be no veracity to my statements. I wish people would not depend entirely on last year's cycle. As many users have shown, this cycle is at least minutely different than last year's. Some schools are fairly consistent (Chicago, NYU, Berkeley), but take Virginia for example: their offer cycle basically ended in early January, and they offered Dillard's to candidates to whom they would not have made the offer in the past (overlooking some strong candidates, like our very own LC lol).
I don't know. I'm also just trying to solace myself haha.
I'm also not worrying about it as much. I'm likely to retake, but of course would accept Stanford's offer were they to make it.

Quads, IIRC, you got Yale, correct? Would you really consider Stanford (considering they also only offer need-based aid and not knowing whether you have ties to California) over Yale? Or are you just wanting to conclude your cycle?quadsbaby wrote:!!! *sigh*WilhelmIII wrote:Going off of last year, some of us will be waiting for another 3 weeks.
I guess this goes out to those of you who have gotten accepted in at least two of the Holy Trinity. What would be the deciding factor for you? Location, current students' mentality, need-based financial aid offer?

I'm a current PhD student at Stanford (albeit on leave of absence for the past two years). I have the option of finishing my PhD if I come back to Stanford, and I don't have that anywhere else. I also have a job at a law firm in the bay area that I'd like to remain close to.Oskosh wrote:Quads, IIRC, you got Yale, correct? I pretty much wouldn't have considered any other school except lately I've had to come to terms with the fact that I may have to. So I'm going to YLS and HLS admit weekend to check it out. Also still considering Berkeley (for job tie reasons). (I have fantasies about going to Duke because I love Raleigh, but I don't think it's the best choice for me given the options).

I have heard they're behind schedule, but I think that was also the case last year. There were some acceptances last year even a week after ASW, so here's hoping that you're right.Oskosh wrote:Unless Stanford contacted a disproportionate amount of applicants that didn't upload data to common websites like TLS/LSN (which is possible, but not probable), I don't think they have made all offers yet. Actually I think it's really encouraging! Stanford made 408 offers for 179 matriculants in the class of 2017.WilhelmIII wrote:That's not encouraginglc39 wrote:195 members.WilhelmIII wrote:Does anyone know how many people are in the FB group?

Well, it seems there were 230 in as of Apr 14 last cycle, so maybelc39 wrote:Actually I think it's really encouraging! I was about to ask about last year. That's super encouraging! Hopefully there aren't just a ton of admits this year who don't have facebook.

ASW was done by that point then too.

The most recent acceptances seem for be low GPA, higher LSAT applicants, though it might just be a coincidence

If they happen to let you in over the next week or so, are they still holding you to the normal deposit deadline?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
Now there's a charge.
