Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
My interview went great! It was a lot more relaxed and easy going than I thought it would be.
I didn't interview with Mary Ann, however. My interviewer was Ashley Gray (Admissions and Diversity/Inclusion Officer). She was lovely!
Anyone else interview with her?

Yeah, 12/19 here, not quite as long but I'm not super optimistic.Dulman wrote:11/4 for me. No movement whatsoever.RaiderRed wrote:been sitting at received since 11/7...thinking about just giving up on this one

Re: WUSTL c/o 2018 Applicants
Does anyone know if WUSTL gives out any kind of need-based aid?
I know a lot of schools don't, but I've seen some of their scholarships referenced as merit/need based, and in other places seen it only referenced as merit based.
Anyone have any experience with this?

They do not. There are some outside scholarships you can apply for (particularly if you are diverse), but no need based aid through the school directly.LadyProspero wrote:Does anyone know if WUSTL gives out any kind of need-based aid?

So does it take awhile to get a letter? I was accepted via email like 3 weeks ago now and was wondering when I would get my package. Does WashU wait until they've made a scholarship decision before actually sending you a letter?

I dont think they send out physical packages if thats what you are thinking. All communications are by email in the name of the greener world unless you are talking about the free t shirt, lol.

11/24 for me. I emailed them a couple of weeks ago to see what the hold up was, and all they said was that they received a "record number of applications" for this cycle, and that it could still be a while until my application went under review. Does no news is good news still apply in this situation? Ha.Liz_Lemon wrote:Yeah, 12/19 here, not quite as long but I'm not super optimistic.Dulman wrote:11/4 for me. Interviewed 01/12. Ended quite positively but no response yet. Anybody in a similar situation?

Takes several weeks to get $$$ info. Don't worry yet.NoBladesNoBows wrote:So what's the situation with aid packages? I went complete 1/13, received interview request 1/13, interviewed 1/16 (went very well, was told that I was an excellent applicant at the end), and then accepted 1/22. I also received an unsolicited travel aid offer for ASW. I like to think that all that enthusiasm suggests an aid package, but I haven't heard anything yet so perhaps I am being to presumptuous. Should I have heard by now?
I'm very impressed with WUSTL's recruitment process, and I really hope that I can make it to ASW!

You should be getting good $$$ w/ that LSAT.NoBladesNoBows wrote:So what's the situation with aid packages? 12/4. :/ I know I need to be patient but LSP and MyLSN gave me so much hope that WUSTL would love me and now I'm just feeling like the lie detector test has determined that was a lie.Liz_Lemon wrote:Yeah, 12/19 here, not quite as long but I'm not super optimistic.Dulman wrote:11/4 for me. Anyways, you have a good LSAT. I had a similar-ish time frame and it took me about a week to get my scholarship e-mail (Friday, if it helps) so maybe in a couple days...? ^^

Ahhh ok thanks. So I know scholarships take a little while to get here but any idea what the scholarship ranges seem like based on LSAT. From what I see it seems like mostly the 169-170+ scorers are the only people getting scholarship offers so far, is that going to change in the coming weeks?

Yeah splitters seem to get more love early than reverse splitters at Wash U, at least in the past couple cycles, but it will change. Probably sooner rather than later. Hang in there.JLM268 wrote:robert88 wrote:I dont think they send out physical packages if thats what you are thinking. If you want to PM me or another current student with numbers, we can prob give you a pretty good idea what to expect. Or just check out LSN, it should give you an idea as well.
And to the dude earlier who was freaking out because he got accepted like 5 days ago and hadn't got a $$ offer yet; just lol. Calm down, kids.

Edit: The was also in December, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I think my time line was interviewed on 12/2, accepted 12/5, scholarship info 12/12.
