Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
I was part of the "Held" group that was told we would be notified by 2/27, but just got into the ASW. Is this a definite acceptance...?
EDIT: Just went back in the thread and looks like its a yes. SO HAPPY!

Anyone do an alumni interview in the past couple weeks? Have you heard back yet? Borderline numbers with my alumni interview tomorrow morning, hoping for a relatively quick turnaround.

someone who did ED last year told me they heard back 5 days after the 3-week deadline.ar845 wrote:Did you end up reaching out to georgetown? I'm at 3.5 weeks right now and am wondering if I should contact them as well.Hispaniclaw wrote:Hispaniclaw wrote:I sent a binding ED app about 4 weeks ago today and haven't heard anything. The ED option said I'd get a decision within 3 weeks. What do you guys think I should do? It sucks to wait but Im mostly worried that something went wrong with my app.
any suggestions?
thank you in advance

gotcha, thanks. In that case I won't get my hopes up too much for a quick post-interview decision. Good luck!UOI4430 wrote:I did my alumni interview almost two weeks ago. Interviewing this Friday, does anyone have any advice/questions they were asked in their respective interviews?
Or if someone could link me to a post that talks about GULC interviews, it would be greatly appreciated

Extremely nice lady, and it was rather conversational.
This particular interview covered:
1) Why Georgetown
2) Why be a lawyer
3) Questions about my resume
4) Any questions I had for her

Re: Georgetown c/o 2018 Applicants
Recently had my interview, it was laid back and nothing to stress about. They basically just asked why law, why georgetown, and to expand on a few things on my resume. After that we just chatted about his experience and what DC has to offer. My advise is to have those questions down and a few good, specific questions for the interviewer ready. Good luck!burtstei6 wrote:Interviewing this Friday, does anyone have any advice/questions they were asked in their respective interviews?

Question about scholarships. 167 3.77 GPA accepted on the 26th. I would like to work in the DC metropolitan area and GULC is my #1 pick of schools. That being said, I am not willing to take out a quarter of a million dollars in debt to attend. Mylsn puts the chances of a scholarship offer at 33% and the average amount at $70,000. What I'd like to know is 1) What do you think my chances of receiving the scholarship email are? 2) If I do not receive said email, should I contact them myself?

(2) yes absolutely, but you can wait a while, in particular if you have no leverage yet

So far the only leverage I would have is a full ride at Wash U. Still waiting to hear back from a bunch of schools. Was gonna give it until March before I started trying to negotiate in hopes of having a few more offers and a better bargaining position.

So I got an email and password sent to me from the accepted students website, but when I try to use them to logon it says that they are incorrect. Thoughts?

I'm having the same problem!
I got the username/password email because I was trying to log on with no password though, like to see if I had been admitted. I figured maybe log in info doesn't activate until they actually inform you of your admission? or maybe that makes no sense, I don't know.

For those trying the ASW thing, is it that the status checker changes to DLS or decision rendered? I want to know so I know if I should begin stalking my status checker again or just wait. Interview was last Thursday

Just had my alumni interview this week and I'm already trying to get log in info. I am severely lacking in patience.Gray wrote:The status checker doesn't change. Mine still just says complete!
