Do they send it by USPS or UPS/FedEx? I don't think UPS delivers on Saturdays.t14splitter wrote:Seems strange that no one in NYC / surrounding area has gotten a letter yet since mail was delivered Saturday and already today for others.
eta: paging jbagelboy or other current CLS students for input from last cycle

He's one of my best friends and has been freaking out about Columbia too. I just can't imagine they'd lie about starting to send out acceptances. BUT I am slightly skeptical myself since no one has heard yet. I'll give it three days before chalking it up to the office lying.

Live 45 minutes from NYC and just got the letter from Columbia! First time posting, so I understand if you're skeptical. LSAT >75 GPA >25

It probably can if they use the same mailing system that Penn uses...Howl wrote:Good point.t14splitter wrote:Seems strange that no one in NYC / surrounding area has gotten a letter yet since mail was delivered Saturday and already today for others. It really can't take that long from NYC to NYC...

International applicants were notified I believe on Day 2 of the wave after COB, so I'm guessing that's why we didn't hear anything until now.

This. I looked it up and 3-5 days to reach Chicago.
Edit: I'm assuming that they probably had the mail picked up Friday night and it wasn't sorted until Saturday, started going out for delivery today. That puts Midwest probably Wednesday at the earliest.

How I anticipate it will feel like opening my mail box this evening, as a New York resident:

Thanks everyone! There was a blue envelope with a blue folder inside that had the letter (with admitted students website pin number) and a couple of pamphlets including ASW info. I submitted mid-November and went complete within a week.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
