I would love to get a call, but if it's not in the cards, I wish they'd tell me sooner rather than later. Any amount of stress that can come out of this process would be extremely helpful.

This is how I feel about every single school. I wish they were like MBA programs where they had a set date that you knew you would hear by.lastsamurai wrote:I would love to get a call, but if it's not in the cards, I wish they'd tell me sooner rather than later. Couldn't agree more. The sense that the ax could fall at any time is kind of maddening.waferthinmint wrote:THIS. I hate being in limbo.lawschool22 wrote:This is how I feel about every single school. I was talking to my sister, who, as a freshman in college, has very fresh memories of the misery that is the college application process. Although having to wait until late March/April 1 made for an interminable winter, I think it also made it easier to compartmentalize the uncertainty. I mean, if I knew for sure that I wouldn't be hearing until ~March 20 at the earliest, I would have so much less incentive to constantly refresh my email... :/

I thought this too but in reality, it sucks just as hard. At least the pain is spread out for law school admissions.lawschool22 wrote:This is how I feel about every single school. Seriously. I feel like I can't get excited or really start thinking about any of my options until I hear back from Stanford. Even a ding would be a little bit of relief (after I got done crying into a gallon tub of ice-cream and a pitcher of wine)waferthinmint wrote:THIS. Is the What To Expect When You're Expecting c/o 2017 thread off-base on the Stanford timeline?
It seems like a lot of people are in the "Submitted for Review" stage for more than just a few days.
Or maybe they are doing something different this year...

Has Stanford historically released any big waves of acceptances/WLs/dings in the first two weeks of Feb?

Does anyone have any spreadsheet data or analysis if S has released far less decisions at this point than in past years?

according to the lsn graphs, it seems so. This is pretty crude, but the graphs show a lot of December completes getting decisions in January. This year only one (or two, if this person actually applied 11/20 and went complete on 12/21 http://lawschoolnumbers.com/midwest333)

I quickly looked at LSN and it looks like as of 2/5/2014, 20 people have reported being accepted. Last year, as of 2/5/2013, 33 people had reported being accepted.

Thanks for that. It seems like there have been few calls going out based on this thread, but I hadn't checked last year's thread for comparison.Sourrudedude wrote:I quickly looked at LSN and it looks like as of 2/5/2014, 20 people have reported being accepted. Do people write a Why Stanford type letter? When would it be appropriate to send one in? and tell them they're your dream school
