Not sure that MLK factors in. I think the question is more along the line of - since the Adcom rendered some decisions on Tuesday, will they release more today?BigZuck wrote:I don't really see why they would care about that. What is it to them if we get a decision now or next week or a month from now?JayJones78 wrote:Plus don't you think the fact that (I assume) they are not working on Monday because of MLK day will mean they will do more to release decisions before the weekend?benb1215 wrote:I have a feeling that today will likely be a decision day. NU gives a 6-8 week timeframe from Dec 1, and if you pull out the Christmas vacation week that puts today at just about the right time.feralinfant wrote:So whats everyone thinking, decisions tomorrow or did they blow their whole load on Tuesday? I might be a foolish, eternal optimist but I'm thinking decisions tomorrow.
I'm operating on the premise that tonight will be a evening of cheers or tears... either way I'm drinking bourbon. Happy Friday all, and good luck
Although I hope you're right, would love to have something to celebrate this weekend!

I'm just wondering if they'll release the AJD decisions in batches or wait until they made decisions on the entire entering AJD class. I was told by admissions office that the reason they don't do rolling admissions for AJD and wait until the deadline to view apps no matter when they were sent was to see how many apps they got and evaluate them against/with each otherletitloose wrote:Well, he didn't shut the door completely for today. It's Friday! Hope that means we get some decisions even if some were released on Tuesday.
And I really hope some of ED->RD-ers get some love. In the "Splitters" thread I saw a 171 and 2.9x said she was admitted, and now almost wish I had just applied RD in Sept. too.

I'm 2 years out, will be like 28 months out by then. I know they do their metrics as "2+ years" so I hope being in that bucket is enough!birdlaw16 wrote:Hi, that's me! Yeah NU was a huge surprise, since as you can see I still haven't heard back from most other schools and applied pretty early in the cycle. From Johann's twitter. What does this mean?I spent most of the day yesterday reading JD applications. This is not a sign that anything will be released today.

In other news, the tweet under it had a kinda interesting NYT op-ed written by the NU Law Dean.

the funny thing is that the only accelerated "2 year program" offered by Nu charges for full tuition

Re: Northwestern Law C/O 2016 (2012-2013 Applicants)
No, they're talking about having law school end after 2 regular years, which would require a major change in the ABA requirements for graduation. NU's AJD is the full requirements crammed into 2 years. He mentions it as a current alternative to the usual 3-year program, but it's not the main subject of the article.curepure wrote:onionz wrote:From Johann's twitter. AJD is three years condensed into two, so not the same thing.curepure wrote:onionz wrote:From Johann's twitter. What does this mean?I spent most of the day yesterday reading JD applications. This is not a sign that anything will be released today.

Yah. They claim that you pay 3 years tuition for 5 semesters but you get out to the workplace a year earlier and save of COL and the oppertunity to start making money right away.curepure wrote:onionz wrote:From Johann's twitter.
