I sent the admission office an email regarding my waitlist app a couple of days ago, and still haven't heard back. Is it normal for them to take so long for a simple inquiry?

Okay what are your approaches to all this? lol I was waitlisted as well and sent in my LOCI; its very program-specific. As an NYC educator (evening applicant) I focused a lot of the social service clinics and other programs Fordham offers that would be great for my future career in education law. Since I'm in the city, I want to do a visit as well very soon - can we specifically ask to speak with admissions reps :p? i have a lot riding on this since I received a city employee scholarship and basically if Fordham takes me off waitlist, I'll get like half off tuition.

Honestly I'm not even sure if we can talk to people in admissions or what to say. Fordham is my top choice by far so I definitely don't want to mess it up. I just feel like actually going to talk to them shows extra interest maybe?

Any TLSers have any advice on what to say to the admissions people??

I guess my real question is - is it worth going if admissions doesn't even know we're there? Clearly we all want to visit for ourselves because we really want to attend but how will admissions know of our efforts to "show" interest if we can't even formally introduce ourselves while on campus? lol

MAKE SURE YOU SEE SOMEONE IN ADMISSIONS!!!
Be honest, passionate, and committal. They want to know if you are taken off of the WL you will enroll. Speak about your personal qualities and what you have to add to the incoming class. As an evening student, make sure you convey that you intend to remain an evening student. There is too much migration into day from evening program. I hope this helped.

Well I meant it as in "Brotha"... but forgive me if you are not one lol

"Prospective students are welcome to take a self-guided tour of the facilities at their leisure between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Simply visit the Office of J.D. Admissions at 33 West 60th Street, Ninth Floor, New York, NY 10023 to pick up a guide." - from the website.

So I guess the time to lay down your powers of persuasion will be when you pick up the guide :) I think I'll go after work next week.

Naw, no shade. It's law school. The curve is the curve. No one is shaving books at Fordham.

In order to avoid a restraining order situation  I am putting my visit to admissions off until next month.

I'm thinking a few days before the seat deposit deadline.

This is great advice, especially the part about staying in the evening program.

Does anyone know when need based aid awards are sent, or if they've been sent already?

IN!!!! Finally, after months of waiting, but an amazing way to finish the week. Don't even care that it's dreary outside now. Applied to the PT program.
