I'm having more trouble with "how will NU help me achieve my career goals." It's not that I can't think of what to write, it's that I already wrote that essay and included it in my application as a Why Northwestern essay.

I feel like a slacker. I haven't started the essays yet, but my goal is to get everything submitted this weekend.

I am going to reuse much of my "Why NU?" essay. At many schools financial aid is an entirely separate process than admissions and I imagine (*hope) they will be read by different people/committees.

I know for the first couple rounds of admissions, applicants' status checkers updated to the current date if they were getting a decision that day. Does anyone know if that still happens?

I.e. if your status checker date hasn't updated yet today then you won't be getting a decision? I just want to figure out a way to ease the anxiety of waiting for a decision. At least if you know you're not involved for that admissions round, you don't have to be worried about any emails coming through.
