They allowed this last year.
Now the evening division has been cut in half to only enroll people who are professionals to attend. It was unfair to have a 24 year old with no job to sit in the library for 10 hours going up against someone coming to class for their 9 to 5 job with minimal time to study during the day.
They cut the evening division from 150 or so to 80 because 70 students had no jobs and transferred after the first year. Last year, only four or five students ended up transferring to the day division after this cut.

Well, I do have a full-time job, so that part fits. But if they cut the size of the class that is not good news for me at all.
They didn't allow me to apply again - instead there's a link on the status checker to a form on which you say whether you want to stay on the list and whether you're open to FT, PT or either/both. I followed up with an e-mail explaining that I do work and would like to be considered for PT.

thanks. don't get me wrong, I would take any scholarship money but 7500 for a NYC school is like "here, buy some books, a few months of groceries and go out to the movies (NO POPCORN!) haha...jk...sort of

Was just informed that they wouldnt be looking at their Waitlist until after April 15. Booo

I think the later you submit, the longer it takes for them to get back to you... I submitted early-mid November and got my decision 1 month later.

I think it's arbitrary. I submitted 11/26 and didn't hear back until Monday.

Yeah, definitely makes sense. I'm just impatient. Can you ask them to please crack open my file when you visit?
