Bill and mrwarre, there's really no point in arguing with UF lovers. You'll never change their opinion, because why would they want to admit that they are not clearly the best anymore? Just do this
and be comforted in your knowledge.

I'm in at both schools, I'm leaning UF (sticker at both most likely), but I agree with you. The gap between the two schools now is slight enough to the point where I think it's a toss up and a win/win either way you go. The students they admit now are almost exactly the same numbers wise and both schools have their own advantages, depending on what you're looking for.minuit wrote:Bill and mrwarre, there's really no point in arguing with UF lovers. Oh awesome, you got into FSU, too! I am glad I was wrong. You give hope to people who didn't get phone calls right away. Did they end up calling you or not at all?Aro5389 wrote:I'm in at both schools, I'm leaning UF (sticker at both most likely), but I agree with you. Aro5389-- Well said. Methinks you will be a very reasonable Gator.
Any know how FSU would fare in the Savannah Georgia area? Still ho-humming between UTK, OU, and FSU.

You'll need to put in the legwork yourself and I don't think Savannah is a huge market, but I imagine it would do better than Tennessee and Oklahoma(?).mrwarre85 wrote:Aro5389-- Well said. Methinks you will be a very reasonable Gator.

Re: FSU c/o2014 Applicants!
They ended up calling my parent's house at around 4:55PM on Friday. I stay over at an apartment near my school (my parents live in the same city but across town) so I didn't know until I got home for the weekend and heard it on the answering machine.minuit wrote:Oh awesome, you got into FSU, too! I think a handful of us are doing the same thing you are. I was waitlisted at UF, but if I got in there I'd still be torn. So either way I'm 90% sure I'll be at FSU. Where else are you considering?kozmosis wrote:is everyone on here who was accepted at FSU definitely going? i put down my deposit but i'm still mulling my options.

I am leaning another state school where I would have in-state all three years. I am going to visit, though.kozmosis wrote:is everyone on here who was accepted at FSU definitely going? i put down my deposit but i'm still mulling my options.

Any OOS splitters get any $$? I kinda doubt it but wanted to ask.
When are finals at FSU? I think I'll be visiting on the 20th.

Re: FSU c/o2014 Applicants!
Any of you who were recently placed on the WL send your LOCI?
I'm going to do that soon...I just graduated so I wanted to wait till I had my final transcripts to send along with the letter...
I'm also wondering if anyone has some tips for the LOCI... length, template, etc...
Thanks good luck to those waiting!

I'm also waiting to hear some good news as it relates to the Wait List. I actually was able to finally visit Tallahassee yesterday when I attended my sister's graduation from the College of Law. It was nice and cozy, and I could see myself there for 3 years. I just hope I get the opportunity to consider it..

To be honest, I do not know for certain.Cool Brees wrote:If you don't mind me asking, does she have a job lined up?dadamafia wrote:I'm also waiting to hear some good news as it relates to the Wait List. I know she is planning to take the Florida and Georgia Bar Exams so I assume she does not have anything lined up. She recently got married and they do not seem to have made a final decision on where they would like to settle down. If anything, she doesnt seem as worried about getting a job recently. When I talked to her at the turn of the year, she was extremely irritable and unwilling to talk much about anything Law School or jobs. Nowadays shes alot more willing to talk to me about it so it doesnt rule out the possibility that she may be getting positive feedback from the places she has applied. She's a strange one, so I can never be sure.
