I am still unclear about how merit based scholarships are awarded. Apparently last year, many admitted students received scholarship offers with their Vandy box. None so far this year? Does anyone know exactly how the merit scholarships are awarded?

My Vandy Box had no scholarship offer or info.

Congrats! How were you contacted (via email, snail mail, etc.)? Also, does your LSAT range mean you took the test twice?

DM 2/17 and still haven't heard anything. I think it's safe to assume I wasn't admitted because that big box would have arrived. I guess I'm hoping for the best of the two remaining options.

I would say that those would be considered basically peer institutions for the purpose of asking for more money. Doesn't hurt to write them a letter and ask.

Just hoping these schools really do match money because Vanderbilt is one expensive school. Also, why don't they have an admitted students website?

Scholarship information should be rolling out en masse any time now since this is the last week in February.

Definitely a pleasant surprise as I was expecting a ding. Anyone have any experience with the waitlist? Is there a good shot of getting off it?

IMO schools like UCLA/UT/G-town are more likely to be considered "peers" for Vandy.

Yea, complete 11/30. They waited a long time to hand out that rejection!
