I think today is the 1st time the committee meets this week, so I don't think there will be any decisions received today based on my call with Heather

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
we might get some news this week though. Hopefully they email the decisions. I saw in her last email that they were going to send them via snail mail and/or our "preferred method of communication."

Hmm. I wonder if it was a snailmail letter. Whatever it is, I hope I get one soon..Big Tuna wrote:an nd undergrad ('08) got in off the wait list today: http://www.ndnation.com/boards/showpost ... 879;d=this

Are they just telling us they haven't offered from the WL to get our hopes up?Big Tuna wrote:an nd undergrad ('08) got in off the wait list today: http://www.ndnation.com/boards/showpost ... 879;d=this

Not sure, but it is frustrating to see these random acceptances knowing that we must wait even longer for our fate. Maybe today will be the day...............please........txhorn wrote:Are they just telling us they haven't offered from the WL to get our hopes up?Big Tuna wrote:an nd undergrad ('08) got in off the wait list today: http://www.ndnation.com/boards/showpost ... 879;d=this

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
I really doubt anyone is getting notified of a WL, ACCEPT by snail mail. Why wouldn't they call or at least email to make sure the person was still even interested? It doesn't make sense, especially with Vonage's low rates and several hundred other people on the WL who would jump at a spot. So, pretty much, you get a call and an offer, or not.fenderjsm88 wrote:Hmm. I wonder if it was a snailmail letter. Then why would they ever lead us to believe that some people will more than likely get accepted without a phone call?2013ek wrote:So, pretty much, you get a call and an offer, or not.

Do you work for Vonage (TM)?2013ek wrote:I really doubt anyone is getting notified of a WL, ACCEPT by snail mail. Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
It could be that the person on ndnation just got the actual mail and sent the deposit making it official in that post and already dealt with the calling before that.lfgsuperman wrote:Then why would they ever lead us to believe that some people will more than likely get accepted without a phone call?2013ek wrote:So, pretty much, you get a call and an offer, or not.

So people like us won't call them all the time.lfgsuperman wrote:Then why would they ever lead us to believe that some people will more than likely get accepted without a phone call?2013ek wrote:So, pretty much, you get a call and an offer, or not.

This is indeed a possibility. Nonetheless, it sucks that these acceptances are trickling out like a leaky faucet. When do you guys think WL activity will really start to pick up?txhorn wrote:It could be that the person on ndnation just got the actual mail and sent the deposit making it official in that post and already dealt with the calling before that.lfgsuperman wrote:Then why would they ever lead us to believe that some people will more than likely get accepted without a phone call?2013ek wrote:So, pretty much, you get a call and an offer, or not.

Prime-time for the Waitlist is now, and maybe for another week or two. After they fill whatever spots were freed up from the 2nd deposit deadline then activity will really slow to a trickle. Literally one out, one in. Until classes start.lfgsuperman wrote:This is indeed a possibility. Nonetheless, it sucks that these acceptances are trickling out like a leaky faucet. Based on the number of people on the facebook group (I know the group does not accurately represent the ACTUAL number of seats taken), how many spots do you guys think are open?

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
Don't think you can estimate. The #s haven't changed much, even though it is clear that there were some non-2nd deposits. Think the people that join the group are convinced they're going to ND. Those on the fence wouldn't have joinedlfgsuperman wrote:Based on the number of people on the facebook group (I know the group does not accurately represent the ACTUAL number of seats taken), how many spots do you guys think are open?

Re: In at Notre Dame (2013)
Got a call from Melissa today saying they were begining to remove people from the wait list because they will only be offering admissions to a very small group (likely 2 to 5). Said she choose to call me because I have a visit scheduled next week and live in south texas and she was hoping it would save me some money. Also said it was the most competitive applicant pool they have ever had. Talk about a start to my weekend...
