I'm a 162/171/3.75

I did write an addendum - my grandma and great-grandma died on back-to-back days in May (I took my 1st LSAT in June)(I was especially close with my grandma). I hope they'll at least consider that and give me the benefit of the doubt, but Kaffee's decision is pretty scary.

Allow me to reiterate:

I'unno. I definitely heard somebody on their adcomm say repeatedly and explicitly that they do not average when there's a 6+ point gap.

I didn't have as legitimate of excuses. I basically said that due to health issues and stress I was pretty freaked out going into the Dec08 test and knew I would do poorly, but I couldn't bring myself to cancel. Since I knew I was capable of much better, I decided to delay law school a year and retake in September.

Anyway, objectively speaking my decision is pretty scary. And of course I'm now conflicted between wishing you all the best and the fact that every comparable-numbers acceptance from here on out makes me look worse and worse....

Thanks, Clem, and I certainly hope this is right. Lt. did have a 20 point gap though, and I'm not sure why else he would have been rejected....

I was ED, went complete 12/1.......169 and a 3.88........The letter was dated 12/14 and the purple envelope was marked 12/16....

So I have not been paying attention to this thread b/c my chances at NYU are very slim with my 167. I applied anyway because like to pretend my above average softs will actually matter (I know this is delusional).

I am RD and went complete 11/17 but haven't heard anything yet. It seems like they are sending out auto-rejects already.

Does my lack of rejection mean they are actually considering me? Or is it just that they really haven't gotten around to sending out rejections?

I went complete the same day. They never received my ED contract and I had to fax them a new one on 12/1. I guess I'll be waiting for a little while longer too.
