Tintin you're having a hell of a cycle. I wonder if Berkeley knew you'd give up all your acceptances for them if they'd let you in on the spot...tintin wrote:IM IN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Some might consider Alabama a third world country/war-zone. But it's not Afghanistan

In! Probably my top choice among "target" schools. Final decision might be between Chicago and Michigan...

Not really, unless I get into Berkeley. As it stands now, I am planning on visiting Chicago, Penn, NYU, and possibly UVA/Cornell depending on $$ and time constraints. I've never been to Chicago or Philly or NYC so really.... I have no idea.boo_pragmatism wrote:Do you have any idea where you are going to go? Don't let your initial reaction to NYC determine your reaction to NYU. The city can be overwhelming in both good and bad ways on a first visit.tintin wrote:

In by email! Do they try to call you first and then email you if they don't reach you?
I'm out of the country so I wouldn't know.

+1. It's great to see people excited and happy about hearing from a law school.AngryAvocado wrote:Though I didn't get a call today, this thread makes me happy. I needed a pick-me-up after witnessing the bloodbath that is the Michigan thread the past couple days.

You've never been to New York City?

I know, I know. technically I've been there cuz I was there for like a day visiting a school when I was picking a college....but it really didn't count, all I saw was the college. And I've been in the airport a couple times.of Benito Cereno wrote:managamy wrote:Don't let your initial reaction to NYC determine your reaction to NYU. I'm just joking around but it does always surprise me how much people from cali and texas feel like they live in their own little country. some native manhattan people are like that and are insufferable.

Re: U Chicago 2010
well, california is a pretty huge state (same with texas) so perhaps that's why. I mean you have to make an effort to get out of california, geography-wise. I've wanted to visit new york before cuz my grandparents names are on the wall at Ellis Island, but it's such an expensive place to go! so I suppose if I visit NYU maybe I'll try to sneak in some sightseeingof Benito Cereno wrote:

Re: U Chicago 2010
I can totally vouch for this. I grew up in Houston, and when I was a kid in PUBLIC school, we pledged our allegiance to the Texan flag, not the American! And from what I remember, the Texan flag is always a little bit higher on the flagpole than the American.tintin wrote:well, california is a pretty huge state (same with texas) so perhaps that's why.
