What are the chances of getting off the reserve list? I interviewed 1/30 and just got the email about being placed on the reserve list. I originally sent in a Why Cornell, but I will send in a LOCI as well. Is there any chance of getting admission off the reserve list?

Current 1L here, and I just want to say that the written questions are fucking abominable.... I am so, so sorry to all those who had a hard time with them.

Figured I would share this here after my whirlwind visit up to Ithaca for something relatively unrelated.

Not at the LS or in there as of yet but glad to answer any questions about Cornell overall or Ithaca in general.

You have to be invited to interview online, correct?

So waitlisted candidates just need to sit tight? Already expressed my continued interest

I'm not sure in that case. The online interviews are only for people who haven't yet received a decision, as far as I know. The waitlist interview opportunities seem to be in-person and I'm not sure if there's anything else you can do. Someone else can hopefully answer that.

Yeah - that's what I heard while I was up there as well.

FYI, that map of the building is incredibly outdated. Do not attempt to use it for navigation. It won't work. Even if it was current, y'all are going to get lost A LOT if you come here. It's my 2nd semester here and I just discovered another stairway last week.

Also, it was in the high 50s today, warm enough to leave my wool jacket at home.

haha - fair enough. I got that feeling after talking to people as well. I just thought the maps were pretty cool even if not very useful. I kind of feel they may have not been terribly useful even when up to date.

Well, I probably won't end up there being misled by maps unless my being an alumnus will help me as a splitter.

Cornell declined my request to negotiate with my Darrow so sadly Cornell is out for me :( Bummer because I really liked the school.
