I thought about this as well but then I was like naw if I wrote a crappy one, it wouldn't look good.

It's a public school, so I'm pretty sure they are observing President's Day as the UCs by me are closed today too.

Yikes thank you for the heads up! I guess I will drop my rental car off at a friend's place and take uber/BART from there. I'm flying in to SFO since the flight tickets were $250ish cheaper than flying directly into OAK, but my actual hotel is right near Oakland airport so I'm all over the place
FWIW, as a life long Bay Area native, I would take BART from SFO to your hotel and avoid renting a car unless you were planning on driving to locations outside of Berkeley / Oakland / SF / Albany / El Cerrito. BART + Lyft will cover you for a fraction of the cost, are convenient, and you'll get to see a different view of the area. The BART station at SFO is clean and orderly, and so is the one at Oakland Coliseum (which it sounds might be your stop). Berkeley is awesome, I hope you enjoy it!
Edited: Just saw that you're heading around the Bay incl South Bay - I'd definitely get a car and just pray to the parking gods.

+1 though as someone who used to work by the Coliseum there's not a ton around there, so I would grab food, etc. in fruitvale or berkeley or DT oakland before going back to your hotel. not the safest area to wander around late at night, though I worked in the area for three years and never personally had an issue

Will you help pray to the parking gods with me? They are never in my favor  and thanks for the reminder! The last time I was in Oakland, I almost got robbed and was hoping it was an isolated incident

Status checker updated the day before! IIRC it was around 5 or 6 PM EST.

I get them missing their mark to start scholly offers on 2/15, but for no one at all (at least on TLS) to have gotten word of $ yet is sad.

And it's been almost a week.
I won't be getting aid info but it'd be nice to gauge what I might get based on other people.

I honestly don't know. I submitted back in November, it went Complete and then Under Review at the same time on January 4th. I never got any updates after that first "Under Review" though so my best guess is without FR.
