So just to be totally sure and not feel like Ms Colombia here, if the admitted site sends you the "at your request" username/password email, it means in?

If you go to the website, click "NO PASSWORD?", follow the instructions and are able to generate a login, then it probably almost definitely means you've been admitted.

Wow awesome, thank you. I know people have asked variations of it several times, but deciding to try this got me so excited when it went through during my post lunch haze at work.

Hopefully, the letter is postmarked soon and this can be confirmed.

Haha I'm just skeptical of anything that doesn't say, "Greetings! You, BirdLawExpert, have been accepted to our Law School. Yes, we know that this letter is addressed to BirdLawExpert, and it is entirely our intent to grant you admission. We read your file. Yes, that file. You were born in 1990 and went to that school. Your father's name is BirdLawFounder and your mother's is BirdLawTeacher, you also have a sister, BirdLawHeretic. We know your address, as you can tell because we mailed this to you. Yes, we promise that this letter is for you. We swear. Please believe us. We actually want you to come to our law school."

Nope. The general consensus is that we'll hear around February.

I had a group interview with Dean Cornblatt at the law school yesterday (I'm in DC) and it was actually really fun. I'm not sure how many people here are in DC and did that, but I thought it was an interesting exercise that I wasn't expecting at all.

How were you invited to the interview? I'm close enough to be 100% willing to drive to DC for one...Did they know you'd be visiting, or..?

When I said I'm "in DC" I meant that I live and work here, which they could see on my application. If you're in the DMV I imagine you are close enough to get an invite, but I have no idea how far is too far (Arlington or Bethesda seems obviously close enough, but I have no idea if Herndon or Glen Burie or even Baltimore would get an invite).

I just got an email that i'm on the preferred waitlist. I was reading in past threads that, other than sending a LOCI, people were visiting campus to help get them off the waitlist. Sorry if this is a dumb question but how would admissions know that you visited the campus unless they randomly checked for your name specifically?
