Now that everything is pretty much over, what are your thoughts on Stanford Law?

Umm, it's the best fucking school in the entire goddamned world. I will be there this fall and am personally just grateful that I get to post in the C/O 2019 thread, where we actually have a real OP in fliptrip. Eat caca and die, Dcc617. Your parents hate you.

It's chill bro, but I was already set on Harvard or Yale anyway. I got my shades on to block out all that shade from CA. Enjoy the earthquakes, hippies.

I personally can't stand Stanford, its administration, and especially its admissions office. I waited patiently for 4-7 months only to get waitlisted or rejected less than a week before May. Seriously, go home Stanford, you're drunk (unless you accept me off the waitlist, then I will love you)

Meh, I mean, this was a total long shot for me. I just wanted to see what would happen. This is what I thought would happen.

I'm totally indifferent to Stanford, because I am super happy with the option I am going with. Grow up, Dcc617. You're embarrassing yourself with this poll.

I will be Seymour Asses from Futurama, and Stanford is my Fry. DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS? I WILL FUCKING DIE ON THE WAITLIST!

I am a lurker. I may not have even applied anywhere this cycle. My motives for lurking this thread are entirely inscrutable and apparently I have nothing better to do with my life.

Dcc617, stop making every other poll option about yourself. While you are very handsome, your constant narcissism and self-indulgence has become off-putting.

I find the whole thing incredibly disrespectful at this point. It's ridiculous
I agree, there's really no reason for them to drag this out this long. Either they want someone or not, that decision could be made a long time ago, especially when they don't even interview people. How many times can they reread an application? Feels like at this point they're just trying to play games, whether it's YP or whatever reason.

Another one waiting.

I had a dream about getting a call from Dean Deal last night, but instead of admitting me to Stanford, she just wanted to chat about the weather and then said goodbye.

Weird. I actually pretty much the same dream. Just small talk, then she finished with "nice talking to you, good luck and goodbye"

Maybe this is a sign that we will again hear nothing from Stanford today.

I was out fairly tipsy the other night and I got a call from a # I didn't know and almost flipped that it was Dean Deal.

It was not.

This happens to me once a day from a telemarketer. It's brutal.

Thank you so much for writing this post! I had just been looking inside the Status box until I read this. Sure enough, I have the little red message at the top, may have been there for weeks for all I know!

Radio silence is killing me. Are there any spots left anyways? Just tell me SLS, it has already been 5 months how much more time do you need?!

Are they really still rejecting people? That just seems cruel for something they could have done 5 months ago. I think I'd rather be on the bottom of the waitlist at this point.

as someone who went DLS two weeks ago, chiming in to say I'm sorry for all of you still waiting. All paeans to "holistic review" aside, this is cruel and unusual and really ridiculous. Hope closure comes soon.

eta: come tell us about your great outcome in the c/o 2019 Destinations thread once SLS has decided to stop toying with amazing applicants.

Um... I know people joke about SLS losing their applications... but I'm kind of starting to get worried.

Like, in two weeks they'll find mine sort of lodged under a recycling bin, dust it off, and be like, "What?! I meant to reject them MONTHS ago!"

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
