Johann said a few weeks ago that they are aware of other schools' scholarship deadlines today, 4/1. I took that to mean they were hoping to get most or all decisions out by today.njkga wrote:Surely nobody would interpret an acceptance (or rejection/waitlist, for that matter) as an april fools joke. I'm giving them until end of Monday before I negotiate with other schools.gjs13 wrote:At what point today should I give up hope for a decision?

I still have not heard a response either way. My interview was completed in the middle of January. I'm getting very worried. Should I give them a call? Or is that frowned upon? Status checker says complete, and I haven't heard a thing since the interview.

There's no reason to call because there are tons of us in the same boat. The issue is not your application falling through the cracks.chazzninetythree wrote:I still have not heard a response either way. My interview was completed in the middle of January. ASW was this past weekend, and I am sure the admissions staff was quite busy with that; I wouldn't be surprised if things opened up a bit this week.chazzninetythree wrote:I still have not heard a response either way. I'm also still waiting with about the same timeline. There are definitely many waiting, but given Johann's tweet last week about "more decisions in the next few days" I'm hopeful it should be soon.James.K.Polk wrote:ASW was this past weekend, and I am sure the admissions staff was quite busy with that; I wouldn't be surprised if things opened up a bit this week.chazzninetythree wrote:I still have not heard a response either way. Johann's sense of time seems a bit different than prospective law students.gjs13 wrote:I'm also still waiting with about the same timeline. Sorry if this was mentioned before, but when is Northwesterns first and second deposit deadline?
I'm a hold applicant so I never got the dates directly from them. Would like to know just to time correspondence.

Just be patient. It was all hands on deck for ASW.

Has anyone on HOLD completed the video interview or figured out a way to access the additional essay questions?

Honest q: is there no final date they have to decide by? Could they let me know the initial decision in August?

How does Northwestern notify decisions?

I called today and they told me they are in the same portal as the online video interview...but I don't see them anywhere.conztance wrote:This ^ I'm looking everywhere to find those questions that are referenced.milhouse_vanhouten wrote:Has anyone on HOLD completed the video interview or figured out a way to access the additional essay questions?

They gave me the same spiel. Since I haven't done the interview yet I assume either you can access them after the interview, or they're an elaborate ruse that don't actually existmilhouse_vanhouten wrote:I called today and they told me they are in the same portal as the online video interview...but I don't see them anywhere.conztance wrote:This ^ I'm looking everywhere to find those questions that are referenced.milhouse_vanhouten wrote:Has anyone on HOLD completed the video interview or figured out a way to access the additional essay questions?

Status checker will say your decision letter will be available within the next 24 hours. Your decision letter first shows up in the DLDS system, and they send you an email shortly thereaftercalgoldenbear wrote:How does Northwestern notify decisions?
Admits, correct me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've grasped from watching you all go through the waves while I sit here in misery

I want to withdraw so badly, but then I feel like Johann wins. That's what he wants me to do. And I won't give him the satisfaction.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
