Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
honestly loling at being placed on held.
mylsn gave me 100% so when everyone saying 'chance me; gets sent to that link -- this is another example on my behalf of how inaccurate it can be sometimes
im KJD so that could be a factor, otherwise my LORs and interview skills and PS shoud not have presented any obvious impediment (given other acceptances)
im not that upset since i have gotten into higher ranked schools and some not-so-much lower ranked with $$$ but a little bitter given the overall mess of their application cycle
shall be withdrawing but best of luck to anyone else on hold hoping to get in!

Re: Northwestern Law c/o 2018 Applicants
Held. Above both 75ths. But K-JD, so that lessens the surprise. (Although mylsn gives me ~90% when I'm generous and include stats considerably lower than mine and 100% when I use a narrower window, so there's that.)
Interviewed early October. Complete early October w/ two date changes, most recent 10/22.
Given the absurdly long timeline for even filling out the response form and the reality that I wouldn't attend without $$$ (plus how long it took to get the decision-to-decide-later), I'm withdrawing rather than waiting for the inevitable WL/ding.
Good luck to those still waiting/sticking around in the held club!

I was wondering the same thing. I'm beginning to think that ED held is the same as regular held, even though the DLS letter indicated that we would be reviewed again and given another decision.mshahsm wrote:Any news from team ED->Held? I'm still stuck at my original December DLA date.

seeing all these overqualified folks getting held too really puts a damper on my chances of getting in from hold
to those doing the hold response confirmation and staying on what date did you guys chose for "latest date you are willing to be under consideration"?

jk, I put the last day that I could reasonably decide to go there since I have family/life restrictions that necessitate a decision before the first day of classes.

lol so the hold form lets you check a box to withdraw, says you only need the latest date you want to be considered if you're not withdrawing, and then makes you fill it in anyway. Put today's date in. And then got an email thanking me for my continued interest. Definitely filled in the right box, though--checked a bazillion times.

That awkward moment when MyLSN gives you a 100% chance of admission but that turns out to be false... Held.
Couldn't interview and I wonder if that played a role at all? I said I'd stay on the held list but I'm not sold, tbh.
Johann, we could've been great together and now we can't.

Held as well. I seriously didn't know this was even a thing, and I can't imagine a more aggravating response from a law school. Like, it's not even a waitlisting. That I could deal with.

The Northwestern experience has been an all around bad one.
I haven't been held yet, but I had my interview and went complete in the middle of October. I have pretty decent numbers (above both 75ths), do have work experience, and thought my interview went well, though I suppose I was wrong since I haven't heard a peep since. I agree with the bolded. I wish they would just hold me so I can stop checking the status every day. Sorry to all the helds and congrats to the couple of admits.

Just deleted Northwestern's status checker from my browser's favorites and it feels good. After waiting over six weeks to receive my login details (despite polite follow ups) followed by a month of obsessive refreshing, I'm glad to put this one behind me.

Held... Not a big deal though, I'm already in at my #2 and looking forward to staying in Cali. Still feels like a waste of $28. Whatever, go bears!

Held. Pretty bummed, around both medians but K-JD. Thought my interview went extremely well, so this is unfortunate. Will be withdrawing.

Considering how I submitted my app on 2/4, I guess I shouldn't even be expecting a status checker until March. Just curious, but if they don't even receive my app until March, does that count as being after the deadline?
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
