Diagnostic was 164 and 172 actually was my PT average at the end (for the most recent 10 PTs or so). I do think I could improve with more studying but at the cost of time and added stress. Also losing the benefit of early apps

i think retaking a 172 is crazy cuz like a 172 is at the 99th percentile isnt it? if not its like 98.9.

Waiting on my second LOR to come in ... so obviously I spent all of my morning on mylsn. Now I've convinced myself that I should retake in December and I'm weighing the cost/benefit delaying my app submissions to wait on that score. (Even if I submit earlier, LSAC notifies my registration status to schools which will place my apps on hold anyway, right?)

Ideally, I'd like CLS with some scholly, and looking at HS as reaches; not even bothering to apply to Y.

LSDAS gpa 3.78, LSAT 172 (1 take in June): worth the retake or no?? someone put me out of my misery please.

If you're confident you could get 175+ and you're hoping for a scholarship at CLS, I would retake. The higher score would outweigh the late application. It also gives you a better chance for some of your reach schools, specifically HLS.

It's so true! In my case, I was lucky to get into some great schools last year but decided to withdraw and reapply for this cycle, and people have a hard time understanding the decision. TLS is nice in that no matter your neuroticism or scores, it's nice to chat with somewhat likeminded people without judgement (Ex. Retaking a 171, 98th percentile score - that conversation with non-TLS would have gone completely differently I'd imagine).

Why would you wait to apply next year? To sit in for December exam is "normal." No need to panic and wait for next year.
