If you're an ED and you get an update, it could mean DLS-> accept on way, or a deferral or rejection. Seems like for RD applicants, if the update is followed with a DLS so early on in the cycle you're in. That could change later on in the cycle though

Upon acceptance, do I need to do anything else to be considered for merit scholarships? For instance, do I need to fill out need access, or is that just for need based aid?

Got a status update yesterday. Complete --> Under review last week --> UR update again yesterday. I basically have no chance at getting in with my numbers but i dont know what thats worth.

Has anyone here applied for the AnBryce scholarship? I think that my PS pretty thoroughly addresses a lot of what I want to include in the scholarship essay, and I don't want to repeat myself too much. Can I assume my PS will be considered with respect to the scholarship in addition to the essay I write specifically for it? If I should take this question some place else, let me know!

Ask someone in the admissions office. I was slightly repetitive for a scholarship essay for a different program.

I called the admissions office, and the person I spoke with (although very nice) didn't seem to know.

This is highly informative! Does every law school have a report like this?

Yes they all should. Just search "X School standard 509 report"

3.3% are on half to full grants.
26.9% are on less than half grants.

Which means 63% of NYU students are paying sticker

TLS is the most unrepresentative sample in the history of unrepresentative samples. It's not even funny. There are also a lot of people who justify sticker for NYU because:
1. It's a top 6 law school
2. They're rich so paying sticker doesn't matter
3. They want to do public interest and assume PAYE
4. They will take out the loans and pay it back with BigLaw.

Yeah, 25% of Columbia Law graduates with 0 debt. Plenty of family wealth at the T6 to pay sticker.
