This.

I don't speak a dialect, only regular ol' hochdeutsch. I checked my standard dictionary and it only has Eistute listed. While I enjoy getting way too specific and geeky about German I won't do it here as I doubt 99.988777 percent of people here would appreciate us clogging up the thread with it.

Very little movement today is making people crazy on several threads :)

I am loving the last few pages of the Columbia thread. I wish every thread could turn into all-out tangental conversations about video games

Well they can't. Some threads have to be about other threads that are about video games.

I hope some brainwashingly good game comes out late this summer, and absorbs the rest of you for your respective first years.

First time posting here in this thread, but I guess I count as a reverse splitter. I submitted 1/3 and went complete about a week later. Last week (1/17) I got an email telling me to call Admissions to discuss my application. I called back Friday morning (1/18) and got in and received a $60k scholarship! My numbers weren't all that great: 168 highest LSAT (average: 164), 3.9 GPA, Virginia resident. Good luck and Godspeed to everyone else still waiting.

so I'm looking on LSN right now, and recognized a pattern- almost every person who is 173+ who submitted 12/1 or later (including myself) hasn't heard back (the few that have are splitters). There's lots of other profiles who have quick turnarounds, oftentimes with a lot of $. Are they holding these 173+ers to wait and see if they withdraw or possibly doing some sort of YP scheme?

I didn't submit a Why UVA and have zero ties to the region- just not sure if I should start groveling with a LOCI if it looks like I'm heading for the WL or what.

ETA: I think law school admissions is making me bust out my tinfoil conspiracy hat; rereading this I realize I sound crazy. I just don't know what is taking so long!

Right. Your theory makes sense to me. I think 171 172 is prime for uva

Ah i see. yeah, I gotta say, LSN really helps to see the fairly cut-and-dry pattern most law schools use. I would've liked to get in to UVA but I think it's too late for me to fire off a why UVA at this point.

I still would. Im just saying 174 and no ties or why uva makes it look like you just clicked a few buttons for the hell of it, hence the wl. Write a well researched sincere page on uva and you will get in.

It's YP. Of all the schools, UVA has a very transparent admissions process.

Does UVA ever offer $ off the WL? If not I'm probably just going to withdraw.

Just a check in here. I am a serious splitter, (177/3.37). I was hoping for some love from UVA, but I have been complete and in limbo since mid-October.

Any advice?

Check your PM

Short answer: YES. A lot of people UVA takes from the waitlist are not near the 'bottom' of the class that they put together in terms of GPA/ LSAT

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
