The status checker is still down for me. Anyone else having this problem? Perhaps I should try a different browser (using Firefox).

Their status checker is the worst imo. I can't open it using my work IE browser (it's old, and I can't upate it). I can't check it using Firefox or my iPhone. Why is their status checker the most difficult?

try this trick

1. Go here: https://www.law.nyu.edu/admissions/jdad ... /index.htm
2. Click the "Academics" tab
3. Then click the "Admissions" tab
4. Click "JD Admissions"
5. Click "Application Online Status Check"

..and Voila (hopefully). Don't ask me how i figured that out.

This works for me. Another method is to simply modify the link when you click on the status checker. Remove the bolded part in http://www.law.nyu.edu:443/admissions/jdadmissions/applicantstatuscheck/index.htm and it should work.

Thank you both!! I was able to check my status and verify that nothing has changed. Haha.

I got the acceptance packet (with a handwritten note about my PS, nice touch!) but never got a phone call. Why do they call some and not others? Seems weird. NOT complaining because I'm in and grateful...just confused. No call from berk or NYU and in at both.

Crazy thought, but perhaps you should check and see if your phone number is correct on your LSAC app....

Okay so I have had two status changes, but no status that has said "DLS", is this good or bad? and did everyone who was able to log onto admitted students website have a status update that said DLS or just a status update saying "under review" still?

Need TLS advice - I have my entire app ready and submitted every other app months ago. I want to apply for some of the named scholarship but here's the issue: I asked for the additional letter of recommendation in July and, despite many requests, the person continues to reassure me he is getting to it. We have been in close contact for years and this is unlike the person. About two weeks or so ago, he said he was getting a divorce, going into foreclosure, etc and that's why it'd taken so long but not to worry I would have it soon. Still nothing. What do I do? Submit without the letter? Forget the schollys? I really have nobody else who can talk about my work in public interest besides him.

ask the NYU if they'll take the actual application now, and if you can attach the rest later. They're probably cool with it.

I received the status checker 5 days after my UR date.

And I haven't heard back yet. Maybe today?

I know other offices are going to limited hours tomorrow so I'd guess if nothing happens today, it probably won't until at least the Friday after Christmas.
