Same here. I think I took it the last year before it changed.cerealdan wrote:I took the SAT before the third section was added. I guess I'm super old.

I'm with you..i hated studying for that test...and that was before i discovered coffee.snehpets wrote:I kind of sucked at all three (relatively speaking). For people who got off of the waitlist in that big wave, what do you see on your status check? Do you have check marks for your "all official final transcripts received" and "all college certifications received" lines yet?
Thanks!
Thanks!

2nd deposit due date gone by..
Maybe we'll see a couple of new admits in the next couple of weeks?

I'm thinking there probably will be a few more WL-admits since there was such a large initial WL-admit wave. Maybe just wishful thinking.

The latest admissions office blog post is about starting the process for next cycle... it's over. I think the bloodbath will either come this week or next. To be honest, I'll just be happy to get some closure.

Hrmmm... obviously my consolation isn't really of any help to you, but don't you have killer stats (on my phone and don't feel like poking in your history to find it), like a 174 and 4+? I'm shocked they haven't taken you, especially since they seemed to me to have dipped a little lower than usual stat-wise for many WL admits this cycle. I wouldn't be at all surprised to hear that H is struggling to maintain its medians this year, which would suggest that somebody above both of them would be in an even better position than usual.Elendil wrote:The latest admissions office blog post is about starting the process for next cycle... it's over. Assuming H doesnt work out, are you ending up somewhere you're happy with? You definitely committed to attending this fall or is reapplying an option? Second time did the trick for me, just FWIW.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
Yea, I think you guys are going to have to wait to see if people don't show up to orientation, or if someone leaves early in the year. I've heard of people being pulled in September. Good news though is that people with the best stats won't be culled. They have to keep a few people.Elendil wrote:The latest admissions office blog post is about starting the process for next cycle... it's over. I believe you're referring to the one that occurred before the WL->Accept wave. That's the last one by the Assistant Dean. Not saying it's not over. Just fighting inevitable.Elendil wrote:The latest admissions office blog post is about starting the process for next cycle... it's over. I think the bloodbath will either come this week or next. I'm surprised there hasn't been a single acceptance after the final deposit deadline. I guess it really is over. Maybe they slightly overfilled the class with the last wave?

Perhaps the awesomeness of the applications still around is too much to take?

Transfers got in on Monday. We might already be looking at the bitter end, but fight on comrades.

No transfers got in on Monday that were reported on TLS. Last Monday, yes.

Is it bad that when I read this my thoughts go like this: In at Stanford, off the Harvard WL, HAH! she can't go to both. WIN!?JDflowergirl wrote:http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 6#p5709226

Rephrase: I know a transfer applicant who got in on Monday.
This shouldn't be too unbelievable, since not every law school applicant is a TLSer.

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
Sorry I missed this! I've been off TLS lately... and yeah I guess I have stats that are definitely on the higher end (174 and ~4.0). I have a theory about why HLS isn't very keen on accepting me this cycle, but it's nothing with my application or background that I could have changed. I'm thrilled with where I'm ending up next year (Columbia) and while I would love to hear from the HLS admissions office, I'm happily moving on with my life until then!Mista Bojangles wrote:Hrmmm... obviously my consolation isn't really of any help to you, but don't you have killer stats (on my phone and don't feel like poking in your history to find it), like a 174 and 4+? Oh, and the blog post that I was referring to was posted just last week (July 12th): http://blogs.law.harvard.edu/admissions ... o-session/
