How long does MIch normally take for a decision after you receive your status checker?

Please anyone? Just wondering when I should go OCD and check ASW every 10 minutes

So do we think waitlist is likely for those of us who went complete back in late Sept./early October but haven't heard yet? I wish they'd just tell us now instead of making us wait until February. It does look like a couple of apps took 6-8 weeks.

I knew I should have spent more time on that optional essay.

It's looking more and more likely. As I've said before in this thread, I'll probably stop checking ASW at the end of this month and just forget about the school.

True, I guess it kinda is all that they can say. They are going to comment on GPA, LSAT or URM status. I suppose "We really like graduates from your UG" or "We like that youre resume had squares instead of circles as bullets." ...

By the way, no idea wtf azg means. Ask Zelda for Gold? If that's it, I feel like the "for" is deserving of it's own letter in the acronym.

I'm pretty sure he was saying nice job to azgirl514 and just shortened it to azg. I like the Zelda reach there tho...lol

I think MORE likely is the operative word, not necessarily likely. I think all the schools hold some apps they are undecided on until they get a more complete picture of the entire application pool. Just because its "held," doesn't mean its going to get WL, but its more likely than it is should you get an early decision because as the cycle rolls on WL just become more likely all around from late appliers to late decisioners. I hope that makes some sense, I just wanted to stress it probably gets more likely as the months roll on, but it doesn't necessarily mean its likely in terms of that being the final result for the majority in the same boat....

Same for me, but I'm pretty sure it updates all the time and doesn't mean a thing.

I've had the status checker for about that long and I've been getting updates everyday. I was under the impression that was supposed to happen. Don't fret.

I think Umich generally updates on most days for everyone. People who have already received acceptances are still getting updates every day.

It updates just about every day. Once it updates for the day you can forget about it until the next day.

Guys, it's thanksgiving not Feb. They don't go through apps necessarily in the order they receive them. Don't give up so easy...it's early.

All the data suggest that if an individual submits their application in September and does not hear back in November, then they will be waitlisted in the future. We're just basing these claims on the evidence available to us.

Whatever this actually means for us passed over applicants, it's pretty discouraging at this point. Michigan was definitely one of my top choices.

If you'd really consider going there over CCN at worst, write a LOCI.
